This restaurant used to be Sushi California. It's still a sushi restaurant, but different owners and decor. There are some items... on the menu that are similar of course. The food is pretty good. The sushi and sashimi were fresh. The salmon skin salad wasHUGE. Friendly service. Much more calm atmosphere than before. The only negative I have was that some of the fish had themuscle (or vein) in it. Which made the sushi chewy and inedible. It should have been cut off. Read more

I ordered thinking I'd give these people a chance and when I got home I looked at the food and thought I just paid $37for this.... Not going back anytime soon. It's not worth it. Read more

Horrible food poisoning!!! Made it to the car and immediately began throwing up. Had the rainbow roll. They?re not following... proper food safety guidelines. Had to go get iv fluids. We went there not knowing it had been sold. We were already seatedwhen we found out. Stay away !!!!!! Called owner to let him know to throw out the batch he used to prepare our meal to spareothers but wouldn?t take our call. Read more

The chef was good and had a good personality. I went because of an online review stating how much had changed as far as decor... and they had 2 for the price of 1 sushi rolls. They have changed a couple dining areas but not much and some of the walls needpaint. When I looked at the menu it wasn?t apparent that they had this 2 for 1 deal and had to ask about it. It also wasn?tapparent that the special was from only one section of the menu and I ordered 2 rolls but they were from different sections inthe menu so I was surprised when I got the bill. They should make those things More Apparent. I thought their hot saki cost morethan other places I?ve been and the quality of the sushi was just ok. Their menu said that Uni was @ market value and was toldthat right now it was about $25.00 for an order. I recently purchased Uni with Quail egg at Ichiban and their menu price is$9.95 + $2.00 for 2 Quail eggs. It wasn?t terrible but it may be a while before I return to give them another try. I?ll bewaiting for better reviews. Read more

I went there on a holiday and to my suprise it was open. The food wasn't expensive, the quality was average. The hostess was... nice. I did notice it was a bit darker than usual. Also they need a second chef, two other groups walked in after us and I sawthat he was starting to get backed up. This used to be called a different name, that place was really bad. Hopefully this oneis a lot better than it. I've added a picture of the dynamite roll. Read more

Come to this place often, we love the food. It is always fresh and they have had some issues with loss of employees they did... their best tonight on a very busy online order rush as we chose to sit inside anyway. We were happy with waiting even though weknew it was going to take a little longer and everything was still fresh and delicious. I would recommend this place to anyonethat likes sushi. Read more

Great place with quick service, and a good variety of rolls. They also have a decent non-sushi menu with something for everyone.... Sort of made a goal to try every thing they have, so far, so good! Read more
