The Best food in SCV!???? This our family favorite. They previously had random hours (due to catering). I'm so glad they are... now open. If you're in town, this is a "must eat at" restaurant. Read more

The 3 stars is not for the food. The food is excellent. But this restaurant is so inconsistent with their hours that you never... know VW hen they are open I thought it was just us, but it is a common complaint from our friends who live out here. My advice.I just went by again. They are closed but say they are open. I'm done Read more

If you are into roasted pork, then THIS is the place to order Lechon. My dish was enough for 2 ! I love restaurants that... serve generous portions. Service was excellent, presentation was good. My wife ordered the chicken, which was TENDER. Notovercooked and dry like some other Cuban restaurants i won't mention. The rice and beans were fresh. Plenty of parking. Read more

Cute little cafe. Really enjoyed our meal. We ordered an empanada and a potato ball to start. The potato ball (called a Papa... Rellena on the menu) is substantially larger than the potato balls you get at Porto's. My husband had the Vaca Frita and Iordered their Cuban Sandwich with fried plantains on the side. Everything was really delicious and flavorful. We willdefinitely be back. Read more

Sadly the food lacked quality and the service was terrible. Very little food choice available at 7 pm on a Saturday night,... actually we were the only customers. We ordered lechón asado which is one of the main dishes of our traditional cuisine ( weare Cuban). Our plate had a ice cream- sized scoop of rice, an equally small portion of flavorless black beans; and very greasyshredded roasted (?) salty pork. The standard lechón asado is large pieces of roasted marinated pork, served with plenty ofrice and at least a cup of beans. The rice served to us was sticky Asian style rice and only 2 slices of fried plantain. Thisplate is traditionally served with warm Cuban bread but we could not get any because the ?cook was busy? and we would have towait ( the cook was the only person in the kitchen and actually he was taking out the trash). The only drink available to uswater. Extremely disappointing!!! Read more

Spectacular Food! The food is to die for and the family running it is endearing. Be sure to ask for specials since you might... not otherwise hear them and call ahead as the hours are not always regular. Highly recommend the Cubano Sandwich! Read more
