Reviews for DiBella's Subs in Newington, CT

New to area, been trying out new things. DiBella?s did not disappoint. Sesame Bread was delicious. Steak & Cheese was stacked... with protein and veg with the melted cheese everywhere. No complaints from me. Ordered online, with ease, food was ready at thetime specified. Sad seeing other poor reviews because we need to support our local small businesses and if something wasn?tright with my order, I wouldn?t take the time to complain to google with no result. I would call the location, say hey, my orderwas disappointing: with the expectation that they make it right. What does that mean? An inexperienced manger would refund theorder, and a professional would refund the order in gift cards, because that forces the customer to return. And if they don?t doeither?. Then I?m not returning for a while, if ever. I would suggest buy drinks/dessert, but this isn?t fine dining. ?? Read more

The grinder...where a variety of meats, cheeses, veggies and condiments gets enveloped between soft yet sturdy pillowy rolls. As... the kids say "if you know then you know" then look no further cause Dibellas checks all the boxes everytime. Anytime I'm in anestablishment where my meat gets weighed before it gets prepared I know I'm in for a good time. Choices are ample, ingredientsare fresh and price is a step above reasonable. This location is a must. Read more

On today's visit I had the 7" Chicken Sub. It was great and that size was perfect for me. I have always liked the food here.... There are plenty of personnel behind the counter (7 i could see) but I think they need to stream line their process. Also, whenyou get to the cashier while your sub is being made, they should not just rely on the customer telling them what they ordered. How hard could it be to automate that? Curbside pickup works great and plenty of seating if you prefer to dine in. Read more

First off the place is in the worst possible location in a very labrynth like shopping center. That is not their fault, the... service however is pretty poor. A gruff old lady took my order, and insisted I have a deli number which I did. The cashierseemed a bit out to lunch though he was pleasant enough. Wasn?t sure what to do wait for my sandwich or pay I was not the onlyone. I ended up paying and then some kid quietly said an order but not the number. I wasn?t sure if it was mine. I asked ifit was order 82 and he looked at the menu, to see if that was the number of my sandwich. The gruff old lady said I had thecowboy and I suppose it was mine. Don?t insist on a system and not use it. The sandwich was a quick service sandwich, NOT ?thebest sub I?ve ever had?, as their slogan suggests. Very poor, disorganized customer service, and mediocre at best sandwich. Read more

My family and I were first introduced to DiBella?s Subs at my EMT graduation ceremony, and ever since then we?ve been HOOKED! We... live 40 minutes away from this restaurant, but to us, the drive is worth it! I?ve tried their tuna sandwich and turkey sandwichon different types of bread, and just had their cheesesteak sandwich last night. It was the BOMB! Also, their chocolate chipcookies are an awesome treat!!! Great place to eat!!! Read more

April 2022. Good subs, high priced. A 10?spicy ham, 10" meatball and 1 oatmeal cookie totaled above $30. Certainly can't be... weekly stop for this retiree. The shop was exceptionally clean and the staff friendly, proficient, and knowledgeable of theirproduct. Read more

The flavor of the old fashioned was very good, although, unfortunately, it was absolutely smothered in oil. And I mean oil was... everywhere, it was almost impossible to eat because it was sliding out of my hands lol. Oil was coating the outside of the breadand the sandwich leaked through the paper, the little bag it comes in, AND the large bag. I?d say if you want to try them, maybepass on the ?Dibellas famous oil? or ask for it on the side. Otherwise, a good sandwich. Macaroni salad was good as well. Read more
