We dined in during a Wednesday noon and the place was packed. There were a lot of teenage student customers from a nearby high... school. All the seats were taken in by the big crowd. The food pricing is fair. I believe my order of medium Chicken shawarmahalf-and-half is priced $13.55 with tax. My order and my companion's (who also ordered the same) had a lot more rice compared tofries. The default application of (white) tahini sauce was not as much as I have preferred and it tasted a little bland. Thewashroom was blocked off during the time and was not accessible. This location used to be good but has seriously fallen off. First I noticed a sign giving you a pop if you give a 5 star review... which doesn?t invoke much confidence. Some toppings are now extra charge and I get things are expensive but for what they?recharging it should be more. I paid close to $10 for a chicken wrap that had hardly any toppings and meat and was now 1/3 less insize. I was distracted when my wrap was being made so that?s on me. I?ve been coming here since they open at the start of the pandemic. They were one of the few restaurants open till midnight back... when everyone was closed. It was the best kept secret in Newmarket but now this place is so busy! I like coming here because thetoppings are always fresh and my favourite is the homemade coleslaw. It makes my shawarma wrap taste so fresh, juicy andcrunchy. Tonight I ordered Lazeez on the Sticks and the meat portion was very generous. I usually have two meals out of theirportion. The fries are crispy and delicious. When I feel like eating vegan or vegetarian, they cater to you. All you need to dois ask and they?re happy to customize your order. They serve their shawarma from a warm container but you can always ask if youwish your meat to be served from the vertical broiler. Easy peasy. One thing they could offer is the option of a mild and mediumhot sauce. The current sauce is way too hot even if they only give you a tad bit when you ask for mild. Read more
As other reviewers wrote, the portions are big here. I got the 8" chicken shawarma wrap with regular size fries and an order of... beef on the sticks. My wife and I had to take a break to finish the meal. The food was definitely tasty and was surprisinglyspicy. I will likely downsize the order in the future. Read more
I called to say I didn?t reconnect any meat in my chicken shawarma wrap just for them to say sorry there nothing we can do? I... asked for supervised or manager and they simply said no we?re to busy? So unprofessional I love this place so much and I?m sosad and really don?t know if I can order from here again. Would love to actually speak to the manager because I?ve never hadthis happen before.
