Moxies Newmarket has a really urban chic meets sports bar sort of charm. We were a high table of 8 right in the middle of the... main lounge but there were lots of smaller low tables in a variety of settings for smaller groups. The 10oz peppercorn steak Iordered medium well was excellent. Succulent, flavorful and done to perfection. The server Jessica and the hostesses were justpaying us just the right amount of attention but knew to leave us alone if we wanted to just talk and order later. Came here on a Sun eve - Service was quick and waitress was polite and attentive????????The mushroom steak was quite salty (the... mushrooms & sauce) and the portion of veggies was a little too small for my appetite. I didn?t even get a drink (all I had waswater) and after tax and tip, my bill came to $49.06. Definitely a hefty cost for a salty, small meal ???? There were not many people so we found the table with ease. Starter :- Ordered Tuna and Corn chips which was a pretty nice. The... drinks were all refreshing as well. It started going downhill from the main course. One order was for Sirloin Steak withMushroom sauce but the server brought Newyork Steak by mistake with no sauce .He did try to recover it by bringing the mushroomsauce. The fries were cold in Steak and frits . We sent it back and the new hot fries took quite long to arrive ,the Steak wasmostly finished by then. Mushroom sauce was good though. In the end ,i found a hair in the table or dish. The service wasfriendly but still his service was riddled with mistakes. The manager personally came to say we will be charged discounted priceand they gave a complimentary brownie. The bill that came was charging us for the complimentary brownie and then they brought anew bill which was correct. My family & I randomly popped in to Moxies on a Tuesday night & was seated right away! The waitresses were very nice and... pleasant. My wife & I had some apps such as the honey garlic wings which were the bomb, the truffled fries which were ok, andthe calamari which was over cooked (hard) so we end up sending it back. My kids had the chicken tenders which they said theyloved! For drinks I had a classic mojito & my wife had the Mexican Bulldog which were really good. Their white chocolate browniewas really nice as well. We will definitely return! At the end of our meal the manager came out & took the calamari off ourbill & gave us a free dessert which was extremely nice of her to do. Read more
