My husband, daughter, and I had just moved to Newport and were looking for a local place to eat. After a very long day of moving... we picked Cancun on Monmouth St. for a pick up order. We were too tired and dirty to be fit for a restaurant. We were so sohappy that we settled on Cancun. From the gentleman that answered the phone, to my husband's pick up experience, to the fooditself. It was all phenomenal!! My daughter ordered the chicken fajitas, my husband the tacos al pastor, and I chose the chickenchimichanga that was smothered in cheese. It was a long day moving after all so the heck with the calories, lol. It was some ofthe freshest, tastiest Mexican food we've experienced in a long time. And huge portions to boot!! So I had a 5 star rating and usually the food is great but tonight I had the worst service. Asked for queso 5 times never got... it. Asked for salsa never got it. Asked for another beverage never got it. Ran our food out cold and dry (it was busy but Ireally feel our server was rude to us). 3 of us went were prepared to crazy tip (since it was busy I figured I'd be generous butended leaving next to nothing because I didn't even eat my dry food. No hot sauce on table. So now I get to go buy queso andhopefully enjoy my now cold food. We go there usually 2 or 3 times a month. We spend good money. The curly haired server cantell you we tip, we are polite and usually have an a+ experience. I feel like this other guy purposely made our experience bad.I'm very sad about it. Went for dinner with a friend and the menu was huge and the food was insanely delicious! The problem was that the older... gentleman waiting on us would not stop flirting with my friend that I was with. He gave her a piece of paper and asked her forher name and phone number which was very awkward. He stood at our table almost the entire time we were there. She was veryuncomfortable so we left before we were even finished eating. It was inappropriate and ruined our experience. He seriously wasacting like a lovesick puppy and even followed us to the door. She will never be back. I doubt I will either, it was just tooweird. It's too bad because the food was so good! Never really order Fajita dish. My Wife ordered Chicken fajita and I ordered Steak fajitas. It was plentiful and delicious....
