We had dinner there during happy hours. It turned out happy hours drink were only available at the bar area not the sit down... area, which seemed strange to us. Waitress was a super nice lady and I would give her a 5 stars. Reason of taking off 2 starswas there were so many sand in their oysters like they didn’t clean them before serving them. Atmosphere was nice. I orderedPortugal seafood stew and it was flavorless and so were other dishes ordered by my friends. My husband and I went here over the weekend for an anniversary celebration. The hostess was prompt and greeted us as soon as we... walked in and kept us updated on how long it would take for the table after confirming the reservation. The server was veryknowledgeable on the menu and suggestions for dinner. The restaurant made us a anniversary dessert which was delicious and theyeven made special menus with Happy Anniversary on them and we got to keep them which was very special to us. The food was aboveand beyond what we expected and was very delicious and hot. What a great surprise, we considered going across to Cincinnati to eat at Ruby's but stayed on this side of the river and we... were not disappointed. My wife had the special Mahi with crab and shrimp she loved it. I had the Filet which Jeremy our waiteradmitted that it may not have the same taste as Jeff Ruby's. It turned out delicious, with 3x smashed potatoes and creamedSpinach. Excellent service and fresh delicious meal. Jeremy walked us through appetizers to the chocolate lava cake for dessert. If you are in the Newport area and looking for a great dinning experience, could not recommend this restaurant high enough. You won't be disappointed. Read more

Chart House was both a tasty and pleasant surprise! Having been my first visit I spent an evening trying various appetizers... while my wife decided to try the strip steak. To start I had calamari with a marinara sauce and it was fresh, delicious and muchmore than I should have eaten. I proceeded to a seafood tower of crabmeat, avocado and diced mangos and spices and finished withoysters on the half shell. Eat of these dishes were prepared with care and were nothing short of wonderful! The strip steak wasas tender and flavor filled as any I have ever had. The view was gorgeous and I can't say enough about how excellent the servicewas during our visit. We ended the evening with coffee and their famous mud pie. My Wife and I had a wonderful experience here. The food and drinks were excellent and had a table with a great view of the city.... Wait staff was extremely attentive. Ultimately couldn't have had a better experience and certainly will return again. Highlyrecommend for any fans of seafood dishes. We enjoyed our coconut shrimp appetizer, my Wife enjoyed her "Chart Your Course"options with Steak and Shrimp, and the Chef's Special (Bronzed Mahi-Mahi with Crab Meat) which I had was excellent. Visited Ohio for the first time. On the bank of Ohio River across for our suit we where overjoyed to discover the Chart House.... We grew up in Southern California & the Chart Houses from Los Angles to San Diego where our favorites! On the river we had a had a taste for fish - we selected swordfish, snapper & salmon, all where delicious. The lemon herb crusted salmon was thehighlight of the three!! Read more
