The apple cinnamon delight was an amazing cocktail. The service was very friendly and our order came out correctly. However we... got the street sense and the animal kingdom burger. The street sense had good reviews but ours was extremely salty.. almost tothe point of you couldn?t even taste the chicken. The burgers are only cooked one way and there is no adjustment ( well done )the burger was not terrible for it being well done but for those who don?t like anything else besides MR-MW then I would notrecommend. Awesome atmosphere, delicious food, good bourbon and great people. You have to do the FREE tour and tasting. Chris was our... guide, besides the bourbon you learn a little of the history of the place and Newport. If your looking for a new place to try wehighly recommend Pensive named after the 1944 Derby winner. Read more

My husband and I have done many distillery tours and this is by far my favorite. Not only is the bourbon delicious, Chris gave... us fun snack samples to pair with it. What blew me away was the back story of this building, the road, and it?s tie to theprohibition. We learned so much! Went for brunch and it was awesome. I had the Real Quiet with fried eggs instead of a scramble. Hubby had the Dark Star with... the sausage. Both were really delicious. We tried the mimosas, Bloody Mary and the watermelon mule. Hubby had the bourbon andbought a bottle to take home. We cannot wait to go back and try dinner! Read more

Was walking by and some diners invited us in. Was the best decision of the night. Very nice seat by the open garage door.... Ordered the sliders and onion rings and was also served a spicy orange juice cocktail. Service was prompt and the atmosphere wasgreat. Played some country music on radio that night. What a hidden gem Pensive Distilling Co. is! We had a truly exceptional experience there today at a tasting. And Chris, wow! He... is such a true master historian and storyteller that knows his craft. He has so much passion and knowledge and delivers aphenomenal experience. Plus, have you ever met a person that you immediately felt felt like they could be your newest friend?Yep that?s Chris. He radiates coolness. Another note: we felt like we knew a little about Newport and bourbon but We left amazedabout the rich history of the area and wanting to know more, all thanks to Chris and Pensive Distilling Co. If we didn?t alreadyhave other plans, we would have stayed for dinner and cocktails. We?re definitely going to hit it up soon for dinner and brunch.We WILL be telling everyone about PENSIVE.
