Salt Hill rebound for its Irish dishes has suffered filling the COVID epidemic, i enjoyed my burger but my wife found the Philly... Cheesesteak by another name, was dried out and less than satisfying. The waitress was very good, though at the end of theevening was busy doing the duties related to closing and didn?t come to check with us as frequently as needed to refill drinksand offer desert. The Salt Hill pub Newport , has the unique mill building downtown . It's beautiful inside and out. The bar is upstairs and... separate from the dinning area . Witch makes it a versatile place for business and family affairs or just a night out to watch agame in the bar. The food is Irish American flare with a well rounded menu of choices . The portions are moderate and fair foraverage person. The staff is attentive and sincere. The crowds were light and minimal waiting times to be seated . Excellent service and the fish and chips were delicious along with the great teriyaki chicken salad.

I used to love going here, but my experience here yesterday was disappointing. Ordered the bacon tots for an appetizer, there... was almost no bacon, far from what it uses to be. Ordered a blue hawaiin drink and there was no pineapple alcohol in it, to thepoint where the drink was dark blue. The only thing that came out right was the burger, the fries seemed like they were frozen.I cant recommend this place anymore. Read more
