The food is good, but the service, for us, was not good! We are tourists, we went to Newport to visit “The Breakers”… we... looked for a restaurant and we found a very suggestive location and good appearance of restaurant, 22B… we thought it wouldbe a great experience, even for the price we pay, the expectation was that the service would be better. I don't know if theemployee was having a bad day, but we customers, what fault do we have? she did not listen to us, took a long time to answer,took a long time to serve us, took a long time to bring the bill and even more to receive the bill. I believe that because weare speaking our language, Portuguese, we were not very well attended. The order was correct, but when it was delivered, themeat and eggs did not come as we ordered. You are in a tourist city and you should take better care of tourists, even fromnations other than your own. Read more

Expensive, but great food. Service was excellent, and matched the price. Adam did a great job. Table out by the water afforded... great views, but was a little toasty during sunset. Management was involved and interested in feedback, we only had good thingsto say. Tuna appetizer was excellent, as was the Truffle Mac. Would definitely return! Read more

I love this place! We sat at the bar and Dutch and Lauren took care of us and they were fantastic. So nice, so attentive, so... knowledgeable. The food was delicious and the drinks were really nice too. We had the Za’atar Chicken and it was seasonedbeautifully and paired amazingly with a glass of the Trefethen cabernet sauvignon. Came here for our 3 year anniversary and were not disappointed. Came for our annual steak lunch and were greeted with Happy... Anniversary left and right. I had the opportunity to dine at 22 Bowen's on Easter Sunday, April 17 2022. I made reservations, of course, and the place was... full. Michael was our waiter. It was nice to have an experienced waiter. He said that he had been a waiter for more than 15years and you could tell. He was very attentive, knew the menu and had good suggestions. He knew how to interact with thediners. My dinner partner really liked him. I am not much of a seafood eater but I decided to have the 22B Clam Chowder. Itwas actually fantastic. In addition to potatoes and clams, it had bacon to add a special flavor to its creamy texture. Wepaired dinner with a bottle of Malbec, Domaine Bousquet from Argentina and an Espresso Martini. Very nice and it went with theappetizer and the main courses, as well crab salad, oysters on-the-half shell and shrimp that we were given because of a delayin our main courses. We got our beef on with a 14oz Prime New York Sirloin and a 18oz Prime bone-in Delmonico steak. Cooked toperfection as far as I was concerned, maintaining tenderness and not dry. Our sides were French fries and RI MushroomFricassee. Both were very complimentary with the steak. What a meal. After a fine meal, dessert was Chocolate Peanut ButterTorte. One can never go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter with a scoop of ice cream on the side. The atmosphere was greatwith water views that I had requested. Service was five-star in my book, thanks to Michael, and the food was four to four andone-half stars. This was not inexpensive BUT well worth it. The location and inside decor is beautiful. Unfortunately, the food was a little bit of a let down, especially knowing it is... part of the Newport Restaurant Group. Both my boyfriend and I found the salmon and chicken entree to be unappetizing. Thewaitress was very attentive and was nice enough to rectify the food situation.
