We have been here for drinks one evening. Following weekend we made a bruch reservation in November weekend. Although it looks... small from outside this place is huge with different sections in it. Waiters told me that the 3rd floor is only open aroundsummer. There is a different menu and also a dress code to dine there. When we stop by in the evening it was hard to make anorder. It was pretty crowded in the terrace. But..this place has a real fire place. My favorite time was brunch. The history onthe walls worth to take walk. Ataff is experienced and professional. Food was amazing. My food Egg homard + cofffe service+drink and desert is $30. We'll be back. Read more

Worked in 12:30 by solo. I recommend to grab a seat in 2nd bar floor. You can enjoy good sight and also great service by a... mustache bartender. A bit costly but acceptable considering quality of food and service. Read more

If you don't like hair in your food, there is nothing for you here. The manger was super kind to take this item with "extra... ingredients" off the bill. However, I was charged for the substitute. Peter , who introduced himself as a manager of the placeneeds to learn on his manners and fixed his breath. It's disgusting to have a hair in your food but more disgusting to deal withsuch horrible management. Hopefully, the health department will take care of this place ) Don't want to post hair soup butappreciate that oysters were fresh and without extra stuff. Please, choose another place for oysters just to stay safe Read more

We walked in 15 minutes after opening and it was already quite busy! Atmosphere is great and service was good and effecient.... Food was excellent, wonderful fresh oysters with delicious condiments. Calamari was very good too - would have preferred tartarsauce (not available) over the tomato based one they served it with but it was fine. Fried capers were a wonderful addition! I'drecommend this place and definitely would go back. Also dog friendly Read more

Very busy at 10pm, but was able to get a seat. $200+ for 4 appetizers, 4 drinks and a scoop of sorbet. But, the food is... delicious and fresh. Didn't receive bowl of chowder and took forever to cash out. The waiter both times thought someone else hadtaken care of it. Read more

I loved the atmosphere at the Clarke Cooke House! We sat by the fire and enjoyed the people watching. The food came promptly... and was well presented and tasty. The evening was tainted by the attitude of our server. She made us feel uncomfortable andtreated us as though we were a nuisance. Such a shame. We will not be back as there are so many other wonderful restaurantsin Newport. Read more

Always a stellar experience at the Cooke House. Consistently good, always a win - never a miss - from the service to the... ambiance to the food itself. I’ve had dinner here several times this year. I visited today for an early lunch and enjoyed ashrimp cocktail and the fantastic New England lobster salad. It was a perfect salad with a just right blend of flavors andtextures and a good serving of lobster. The Snowball in Hell is a must for dessert! I’m not sure what the secret is at thisrestaurant but they get everything right every time. Thank you Cooke House crew. PS the water view from the Candy Store and SkyBar is fabulous. Read more
