On our recent visit to Newport, we stopped by Cru twice for breakfast and were lucky to have great weather to sit outside. Order... at the counter before sitting and make sure to get the coffee, it?s delicious! We enjoyed the lumberjack breakfast, the NightShift Burrito, and the Not Your Average BLT. We loved everything about our visits ? great and friendly staff, ordering ease,condiments ready for use on the tables. We will definitely be back on our next trip! Read more
Beautiful Outdoor seating and indoor. Order food inside and they'll give u a card stand for when you choose your seat. Ordered... the avocado toast plain, some eggs with corn beef hash and toast and a ham egg sandwich. The avocado was basically guacamolespread on white toast. A bit disappointed! The corn beef hash was delicious. The sandwich was ok. I also got the blueberrymuffin grilled and it was so good! Def recommend that. The coffee was self serve and so was the water. Great breakfast place. You order by walking to the register, but they bring you food to the table. Very friendly and attentive... staff. Hot coffee with free refills. Options to stay or to go. Big choice of breakfasts options and very nice big portions??.You can have a good breakfast for 2 people below $30. Read more

Great value brunch or lunch spot. We go here about half past one and needed to wait a few minutes or eat outside, but it gave us... time to look at the menu. We ordered to breakfast egg dishes: one with chicken and biscuits, another with crab cakes. Thesebreakfasts were phenomenal and came with salad. The winner was definitely the one with chicken and biscuits. Not everyone likedthe crab cake. The blackened salmon wrap was a very good value with mango, but would have benefited from a side cup ofremoulade. My friend liked the clam chowder more than the crab cake sandwich, which he thought had too much slaw. I woulddefinitely go back, but stick to the egg breakfasts. The fancy tots are great to share. One of the best spots in Newport for breakfast, brunch or lunch! Everything is simply fantastic and the staff is amazing. I love... sitting outside on their patio. Cru Cafe? gets 5 stars for excellent cuisine, service and ambiance. This place is a gem! We just walked the 7 mile cliff hike,... had built up a decent appetite and decided to give Cru a try since it is close to the walk. We ordered the CRU Chicken Sandwichwhich is grilled marinated chicken, avocado, jack cheese, basil aioli, on brioche, the Crusty Crab Burger which is asiancoleslaw, remoulade sauce, on a baguette, and side order of classic potato tots. Total price before tip was $32. Everything wasdelicious and fresh. And after telling the woman at the register that this is our 25th anniversary? she surprised us with acomplimentary box of assorted pastries. Two words to describe the pastries: religious experience. The blueberry muffins, sconesand a pastry which was filled with what I think was crème brûlée blew our minds! With seating outside, awesome food andbeautiful Newport, life is good!
