I am a high tea aficionado. I have had many wonderful tea experiences including the Empress Hotel in Victoria, BC. I happened... across Kellie?s Cafe website and decided it was the perfect activity to end my stay in Newport, RI. We had a reservation for teaat 11 am, but we arrived at 10:15 am. Kellie was very gracious and said no problem. Our table was set with a lovely tablecloth,place mats, napkins and beautiful plates, tea cups, and tea pot. Kellie asked us what kind of tea we desired and then brought usan assortment of sandwiches, scones, and desserts. The food, the service, and the presentation were amazing. We had a pleasantconversation with Kellie about how her business survived COVID, in spite of the numerous challenges. I can?t say enoughwonderful things about Kellie?s high tea. If you enjoy tea as an event, then this is the place to go in Newport. In addition,the price for this high tea is really inexpensive and well worth the expenditure. Read more
This is a must-stop in Newport, RI. Coffee is wonderful. You can get a terrific cuppa. The Full Monty/Full English Breakfast is... authentic. Scones with cream and jam are out-of-this world. Above all, Kellie and David are the nicest people. They are thereason to visit and keep coming back. Very personable. Very kind. Very easy going and so friendly. They greet you and carry onconversation with you like you've known one another for years and you've only just met. Kellie?s Cafe is one of Newport?s best kept secrets. My wife and I have came here multiple times and are never disappointed.... They serve authentic English breakfast/lunch and tea, which is filled with great flavors. I'm delighted we found this spot, and we will be back whenever we visit Newport. A wonderful assortment of teas, hand pies,... imported snacks and candies and other British staples make this place a real treat. Absolutely quality! My family decided to try their Afternoon Tea and I was stunned at both the presentation and quality of... items. The scones were fresh out of the oven, pastries freshly and perfectly light and flavorful! The owners (who areabsolutely incredible!) import everything that isn't made in house so the quality and authenticity are top notch! My husband and I discovered Kellie?s by accident and we were so excited to try it. We finally stopped in before we headed out... for our vacation and it was amazing! My husband was longing for steak and ale pie and he loved it. He said it was just as ifhe was having it in England. I had sausage and mashed and it was yummy! They also sell so many English treats!
