A friend recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious and our server Karen was so helpful and... there was always a smile on her face, which just made the experience so much better. Keep in mind that there is terrible cellservice in here, but it makes you disconnect and enjoy your meal more. Definitely recommend! Read more

Had dinner here on our last night in Newport. Server Kyle was very sweet and the food was very good. Nice quaint decor. My... husband like his dish, but being a big guy was hoping for a little more. He had the mushroom raviolis and I had the bow tiepasta with shrimp and scallops. I was hoping for sea scallops not bay, but very delicious. Dessert was also very good. Tiramisu and chocolate mouse cake. We would definitely go back. Read more

We made a reservation about a half hour before our arrival. The restaurant has two sides. One side had A/C but the door to... the outside was left open, so that side of the restaurant was warm. I asked to be seated on the cooler side. We were shown toa two person table which was quite small. There were 3 or 4 other larger tables and we requested to be seated at one of them. There were 3 other couples there already dining at larger tables. After a lot of cajoling, we were finally seated at a largertable on the cooler side of the restaurant. We waited a very long time to get bread. Every time I asked, I was told the breadwas coming. How long does it take to bring a basket of bread to a table!! My husband ordered an eggplant dish that he said wasgood. I ordered a chicken dish that came with broccoli. The chicken breasts were so tough, I had to ask for a sharp knife tocut it. This restaurant charges $8.00 for a side of spaghetti. The least expensive thing on the menu is pasta. Yet, Lucia'scharges $8.00 for a side of pasta. Unconscionable! I know that Newport is a tourist destination, especially during the summermonths. However, Lucia's is taking advantage of their diners with high prices and not even serving a side of pasta with anentree. All on all, I would choose somewhere else to go if you are looking for good Italian food. Read more

Hassan was the greatest server I had. I use to be server at an Italian restaurant and the service he gave blew me away!! The... food was tasteful and truly northern Italian. 1 appetizer, 2 glasses of 11,50 a glass, a two outstanding entrees was under100$. Exceptional ? Read more

Everything is so good but the tiramisu is hands down the best better then prestige on Fed hill.

Lucia is the real deal!! If you’re looking for a good meal in Newport, definitely stop here. (Do not be deterred by the... old-fashioned sign: that’s what makes it legit.) Authentic Italian food, including imported hot chocolate and handmade pasta. We had a party of nine, and the host was super accommodating. The whole staff was friendly (despite a busy night), and theservice was awesome: Hassan knew the menu in and out, and took great care of us. I have multiple food allergies(dairy/gluten/soy) and had the best meal ever! Gluten free menu was great. Highly recommend the peach sorbet, which comes IN afrozen peach ???? Espressos were great. All around awesome experience!! Read more

This is the most delicious Italian food! We ordered the gnocchi and bruschetta. These were absolutely delicious. The staff and... our waiter were amazing!! The ambience and the location is so perfect. There can be a wait but they seat you pretty quickly. Thebread is made fresh along with all the meals. It’s such a cute family friendly restaurant and really made the trip worth it. Read more
