Loved this restaurant! We had fresh oysters, juicy swordfish, and a crispy salmon BLT seared to perfection. For dessert, we... tried the homemade key-lime pie and the chocolate cake topped with hazelnut spread. The service was great, and outdoor seatingon the balcony was very nice! Great service but food was not good. Shrimp was not deveined. Clam linguine had no flavor and smelled like the fishy ocean, I... only took a few bites and I’m really not a picky eater. Lobster was very firm and rubbery. Drinks were great though we had aBloody Mary and the dells lemonade. Oysters were good as well. Overall I was very disappointed because I had high hopes for thisplace. I would not recommend to a friend. Read more
Stopped for the raw bar. Oysters are amazing and I'm not one for raw anything. We asked for outside seating with street view.... Great for people watching and seeing the cool cars that ride through. Service is a bit slower out there but with it for theviews. Read more
One of our favorite places in Newport!! Always delicious!! LOVE their lobster bisque and the perfectly chucked oysters!! My son... wanted some lobster Mac and Cheese and, even though it wasn't on the menu, they made it for us. I forgot to check how much itwas but, whatever it was, it was AMAZING!!! Can't wait to come back to New Port and visit Midtown Oyster Bar again! Read more
I Love going to Midtown anytime I am in Newport RI. Located right in the center of downtown it is a perfect place for a nice... dinner and has a great environment. They have a great selection of drinks and food and I have been here for live music as well.Definitely stop here if you’re in Newport and want a great dinner experience. Read more

Our 1st visit to Newport, we decided to check out Midtown Oyster. Had the Wicked Hot shrimp. Steamers, oysters and the... Charcuterie board. Everything was delicious.... perfect presentation on the Charcuterie. Food came out quick, great staff. Woulddefinitely dine here again if I'm back in the area. Read more
