The food was very delicious but the service was very slow and we felt forgotten being in the corner outside. No one came to ask... us if we wanted a refill of our drinks, our appetizers came out quick but the dirty plates stayed on the table until our foodcame out almost an hour later. They didn’t take our dinner order until after we had already finished our apps. No check-insduring the meal and apps to see if anything was needed. We always had to flag down someone for assistance. We ate at Perro Salado when we were visiting Rhode Island. We (group of 6 with a toddler) did not know how popular this place... was and landed there without a reservation on a Thursday night. But with a bit of wait we were able to get a table. The placewas busy but we totally enjoyed it. We started with their margaritas and avocado fries and loved them. They also did awatermelon fresco for my toddler niece ensuring she has a colorful drink for herself and doesn't feel left out. With morevegetarians in the group, we went for burrito bowls and tostadas (they did a vegetarian version for us). We also had fish tacos.We loved the food, drinks and the ambience!!! They also had live music later in the night which just added to our experience.Overall, would really recommend for good Mexican fare. Read more
Not great!! Not bad, but hoped for better. Our order was made very clear but not met, actually way off. Waiter seemed to not... really give a sh=t. Slow, didn't follow simple instructions. Overall a 6. Sat outside or would have been a 5. $98 for twopeople. Ouch for mediocre Mexican food, call it what you will but the salsa is terrible. Read more
Words cannot adequately describe how much I enjoyed this place but I’ll try… Everyone at our table was blown away by the... flavors. Going in, I wasn’t sure what to expect, since New England isn’t really known for its Mexican food. Since our mealearlier this evening, I’ve thought about the food several times since. The margaritas are excellent, chips and guac are thebest I’ve had outside of Mexico, chipotle corn was great, shishito peppers great, quest fondito great, and lobster quesadillagreat. I imagine the other dishes were amazing as well. It’s not cheap but also not expensive. It could be 5x the price andI’d still pay. I’ll be back often! Based on my experience, I could not believe how there could be any 1-star reviews. Youcan read through them if you want a laugh… people complain about the dumbest stuff. Sunday brunch - highly recommend. Great menu, service, food and drinks! Lots of flavor and fresh ingredients. We had margaritas... ( house and passion fruit), steak and eggs & beer batter fish tacos. Not pictured - avocado fries we devoured those! Read more
Writing this review after my second visit to Perro Salado. The restaurant is super cute ! The outdoor was also really lovely.... Lots of happy people eating. Good vibes. Had the chips and Salsa, Tacos ( Steak and shrimp), Lobster Quesadilla and beefburrito. Drinks we had the Burning passion, watermelon Margarita and a Blood Orange. Everything was lovely. The service wasgood. The building is partly accessible because the outdoor area is street level so no stairs( if you’re someone in awheelchair). Also LGBTQ friendly ! ?????????? Read more
The sticky ribs are fantastic. I would go again just to eat those. I had good cocktails as well. The location is cute, the small... dining room I was in was comfortable and decorative. The kale and white bean salad was also delicious (though the dressing is abit oily). Overall it was a good meal, it's in an expensive area so know that it's on the pricier side when you go. Definitelyget the sticky ribs and get a cocktail recommendation. Read more
