Definitely a 5 star dining experience! We did the tasting menu for our mini moon which highlighted a lot of squash given the... season. Highlights were the squash and crab soup and the venison. The menu allows for optionality which was perfect for myhusband who is a picky eater. He could go with the tortellini and beets, whereas I opted for the seafood options like theoysters and lobster. Dario and the staff also threw in some off menu treats like prosecco, extra desserts and apple cider +gooseberry preserves for the road. Definitely a splurge for a special occasion but well worth it given the 5 star experience! Read more

Don’t do it. The outside is lovely. Inside - the set menu is not up to the price. The steak …. Not steak. Raw hide. Not... local. From Texas White fish from the Mediterranean Sea. Service was exceptional except for the manager who argued about thesteak. His strong arms were able to cut into it. I think his name was Karen and he definitely works out. The place was empty, which should have been a huge red flag. Patio was full. I asked for a sunset view. Thank you for the wall view. Just lovelyold wood. The bill for 2 people with wine and tip. Around $460. I believe I serve better food to my dog. And she’s apescatarian. Castle Hill is amazing though. The lawn is lovely. Read more

My friend and I had an awful experience dining at Castle Hill for their six course tasting menu. For starters, we were told here... was no room for us in the main dining room so we were seated in a side room where there were no other people and assured theroom would fill up but it did not. W were the ONLY two people in the room for the entire dining experience except for our waiterand his assistant. This was a huge disappointment and made for an uncomfortable and too quiet evening. Three of the courses werejust awful. The first course was ridiculously small and tasteless and the second course also was very disappointing. We likedthe lobster course and the beef course but both were extremely small. While the service was good th entire experience was uglyand disappointing. We felt like we were ripped off and treated shabbily. I will NOT return! What should have been a specialnight turned out to be a big let down and I DO NOT recommend this dining experience to anyone!!! Read more

Good food and great views. Whether you’re sitting on the patio, the bar, or inside, you have great water views and the boats... passing by. Valet is complementary and there are plenty of Adirondack chairs to lounge in and enjoy the passing vessels afteryour meal. My wife and I had the Acadia Redfin Fish Tacos and the Fried Tomato Sandwich. Read more

It's my absolute pleasure to review this restaurant, it was a beautiful dining experience on the water. I made a lunch... reservation for The Lawn but ended up choosing the Dining Room indoors. The level of cleanliness was much appreciated, the viewswere absolutely beautiful, the food- delicious and the staff was a pleasure to interact with. It checked all the boxes for a 5star experience. The the Harissa carrots app was unexpectedly super delicious! And the other dishes were also fantastic. For methe star of my meal was the desert. The house made ice cream and sorbet was unbelievable- particularly the passion fruit sorbetwhen paired with the chocolate ice cream. I'll be dreaming about it forever, which is saying a lot because I don't have a sweettooth or prefer food. These are an absolute must-try! If you're able to dine here while in town, please do, you won't regret it. Read more

Disappointed I set high expectations .. Food was great, scenery beautiful but front of the house was lacking (except for... bartender, he was personable and amazing). Severe allergy in our party was not handled with care, felt very rushed and whiletalking about desert while our dinner plates where being taken away were nicely advised by our server they were sold out. (Foundthat hard to believe as looked like they were changing over for dinner service next). We were not offered anything inreplacement nor coffee/tea. Would I recommend.. sure give them a try. Food was worth it. Just don't expect anything great fromservice. Would have loved to write something special about this restaurant in our food magazine but we will pick anotherrestaurant we visited in Newport. Read more

I can’t speak highly enough of the Dining Room. 7 stars. More meaningful Michelin stars. The view is stunning and hits you... first. The service (Harrison) was perfect for such a venue. Ever present but never hovering. Informational and interesting. Andthe food… the pictures don’t do the dishes justice. Read more
