Came here for lunch and was very impressed. Food was delicious and service top notch. Apps: - Oysters, ordered a dozen and... tried 3 different types sourced locally. Fresh and good. Comes with lemon, cocktail sauce w/horseradish, and vinegar - FriedCalamari, the highlight of the meal. Cooked perfectly and very tender. I tried the Clam Chowder and the Lobster Roll. Both really good options, really tasty and good portion, may be pricey because of... the Lobster Market Price but It was worth it. It has a nice view of the boats and yachts. There is a parking lot in front of therestaurant, it charges $9 per hour… might be crowded in the summer. Read more
This place is all in one! Had a blast in this restaurant saturday afternoon, after a long drive.. This restaurant make it worth... it! Actually we planning to go back in a next couple of weeks, and I’m pretty sure we will visiting more times in the summer! Atmosphere,- staff ,-food, -people unbelievable! We ask from local people what they recommend then we tried to called this place ,there was no more reservation for the day . (Later we understood why) But we give a shot for the walk in . We been seatedright away (got a great table ) the place was full. Everybody very friendly and welcoming also food was great and veryaffordable! Absolutely delicious seafood dinner! Exactly what I was looking for. The service was a little odd- definitely focused on their... other tables around me, perhaps because I was alone? but I thoroughly enjoyed my first ever raw oyster (very flexible orderingmenu), first ever whole lobster, and a decadent chocolate cake. The prices seemed reasonable for the fantastic quality of thefood and setting up a reservation was easy. Read more
I heard great things of this restaurant and I was very excited before visiting. However, the oysters were quite small than... expected and the service was a bit slow. However, the seafood was really high quality and every seafood in each dishes wasenlightening. The clam chowder was also nice, but my favorite is probably the lobster roll, as its quality was very good. Wouldrecommend! Read more
We went to The Mooring after a long day of riding our motorcycles. We were seated promptly at the bar despite not having any... kind of reservation and the service was fantastic. The food was excellent and not too overpriced for the area. We will be back! Read more
MUST HIT IN NEWPORT!!! Great staff and great food - the perfect combination!! Had the clam chowder, oysters, and lobster claws.... All was excellent. Great drink selection. Went back for dinner and had the lobster roll (insanely good - soft bread, tons oflobster), bag of donuts (lobster fritters - uh yeah!!), and New York cheesecake. All perfect with great service. Note - plentyof parking but it is a pay lot and you have a $9 minimum charge. That is the only negative. Read more
This has to be the best restaurant in Newport, RI. I came here after reading all the great reviews and it did not disappoint. To... start off, they give you warm bread with whipped butter. As a bread and butter lover, I can tell you that it was fantastic!Everything was delicious. I loved that the Seafood pasta had a hint of spicy to it. So good! The Berry Trifle was the perfectway to end the meal. Just an excellent meal overall. And the service was very friendly and attentive. Read more
