Cook by trade, ordered through UberEATS and Umi closed before a driver showed up for my order. They called me and delivered it... themselves, from Newport to Narragansett. I ordered Lunch special and a water to go it was $10.53. A man comes into place in wheel chair, not clean at all, they seem to... be friends with man and woman who work there. He keeps spinning in the wheelchair and they give him food and drink to gowithout paying for it. And that was nice to help him, BUT i am paying $10.53 for very small portions. Not Good. I absolutely hate giving 1 star reviews but I feel like I truly have to so others don't waste there money. I knew it wasn't... going to be good when I was served my sushi on a Styrofoam plate , I got the Tuna lovers lunch special. The sashimi was chewy ,the tuna rolls were almost brown and the , sushi (slab of fish over rice) literally had the color of raw chicken. It washonestly and I hate to say it the worst sushi I've ever had in my entire life. Our server didn't check up on us once , but weheard her in the back yelling at what I presume another employee. Would not recommend any Japanese menu items and I'm not sure why they offer them, because they taste like weird substitution... recipes. Every time I order from this place I'm more disappointed and hate myself for trying again. Tempura especially wasinedible and tasted like old reused cooked vegetables. There are older Japanese and Chinese restaurants in town that have earnedtheir marks. Please patronize them while this restaurant figures out what it's trying to offer, instead of a broad, catch-allgeneric menu. Jack of all trades, master of none, as they say. Read more
Have tried twice to order from them through UberEats. The first time, I ordered 2 sushi rolls and another entree and only... received 1 of the 2 rolls, so I had to request a refund through Uber. Today, I decided to give them another chance because Ienjoyed the 1 roll I had last time. Once again, they only sent 1 of the 2 rolls! I won't be ordering from them again, becauseat this point I believe they are doing that on purpose for meal delivery services! Wonderful Chinese restaurant! I came here with friends for Thanksgiving and I am so grateful that they were open! I ordered... Sesame chicken with fried rice and egg roll. Price is fair, food is delicious, and the waitress was very kind and welcoming. Read more
