As always when great weather is upon us ...this place is an absolute go to.... to sit on the outside deck and hang out and ... have an adult beverage while looking at the foliage around the lake... food is always great and sevice is as well... they arevery busy for a reason....well worth the price and time.. Truly great food, wide selection and attentive service. The wait was 15 minutes at their peak busy lunchtime on Labor Day... weekend! Indoor and very large outdoor deck dining. They have a large bakery and confectionery on premise making a huge varietyof delightful treats and a great gift shop. Read more

Great outdoor seating on the lake with a fabulous bar! Food is awesome and so are the drinks. Staff was friendly and I think... this establishment is a gem. Newport is lucky to have a place like this for locals and tourists. We will soon be new residentsof Newport and will frequent The East Side Restaurant soon!!! Read more
Great restaurant and pub right on the lake. Beautiful views from inside or outside seating. Excellent food and service. Loved... the seafood chowder with scallops and shrimp. There is also a bakery and a cute gift shop with nice women's clothes, jewelry,and Vermont nicnaks. Read more
Wow what a great place right on the lake! Beautiful place with a great menu. Food was awesome with decent sized portions. The... prime rib was excellent! ???? The only thing I wouldn?t get again were the fried cheese curds because they were basically friedbread crumbs. Still great meal though. Must check if you are in the area. Read more
