In the past I’ve been to the Spaghetti Bender and really enjoyed it. They even accommodated to gluten free needs and had pasta... I could eat. It was a great meal but the service was slow. About a week ago my boyfriend and I walked in at 8:15 pm, therestaurant was closing at 9 pm and they said they could not seat us because the kitchen was closed. They were not busy at alland there were only a few people in there. We had been there before and knew what we want and just needed a quick meal but theywere not willing to serve us. I understand if it was closer to 9 pm, but there was a good 45 minutes before that and wewould’ve been done eating our food and out of the restaurant then. Read more

I try to resist bad reviews for small family owned restaurants, but the food here simply isn't good. The only thing we enjoyed... was the minestrone soup they serve with all meals. Everything else was worse than a bottled sauce drenching overcooked pasta. No one in our party of six came close to finishing their meal and not one to-go box was requested. Service was prompt andfriendly and atmosphere was quaint. Read more

Visiting from out of town and it’s the first place that I’ve eaten that was absolutely delicious. Would give 6 stars if I... could, stuffed beyond belief. Never had Italian so good! Read more

Classic Italian restaurant in Newport Beach. Great location with good parking. The venue offers various seating options inside... or out with an Italian home style feel. The linguine with clams is served with a very ample serving of clams - verydelicious! The service is attentive and friendly. Great restaurant! Read more

Holy Garlic Bread! Came here with family (who are all carb eaters) and wasn't expecting much from pasta, but this place had... great food and probably the best garlic bread I've ever had (they season BOTH sides of the bread!). I had the Gemelli Pasta withChicken Sausage as recommended by our waiter, my parents had the Spaghetti with Meat Sauce (it's their favorite) and the rest ofthe family had Fettucine Alfredo and Rigatoni Primo. Everyone loved their food but I really enjoyed the flavor of the sausageand the creamy garlic sauce on mine. It was the perfect combo of veggies and pasta and absolutely delicious. They give you BIGPORTIONS so be prepared to go away filled, or to have enough to take home with you. Read more

Charming restaurant on the coast for great Italian. They've been in business for a very long time and there's good reason for... that. The decor is spot on and the food tastes like homemade. Read more

I've had my fair share of GOOD pasta (in the US and Italy). Saw this place on Google next door to the hotel I'm staying at due... to Irvine fires evacuation. The papa's combo is extremely flavorful as is the shrimp pesto (shrimp deveined and cleaned). Theminestrone is super unique, light, and delicious. The only thing that feels fatty on this meal is the garlic bread in all itsbuttery goodness. P.S. The ambience/staff were super warm and friendly too. Read more
