I was really in the mood for Chicken Parm tonight but as an Italian American who grew up in NYC I am very particular about... Italian restaurants. I saw that this restaurant was highly reviewed and saw a number of groups outside waiting for a table - andafter eating here I know why! Really great Italian American food- their sauces are fantastic. Portions are also very large -I?m a hearty eater and I could barely finish. Friendly service, lots of food. Long wait time due to popularity. We came during the dinner rush so the wait took about 1.5... hours for 4 people. Thry brought out samples at one point for Ziti and Marinara. After being seated, they served homemade breadand garlic. The party ordered everything with Pink sauce! We ordered gnocchi, spaghetti, lasagna, spinach ravioli and chickencapri. Large portions of food and everyone was stuffed after. The ravioli comes in a generous portion with large pieces.Everything seems homemade here. Service was good and the end of the meal included some cute home made famous Amos sizedcookies. Mama D's is amazing. We rode 500 miles on motorcycles just to eat here and I would do it again anytime. Keith the owner is a... gracious host and came to the table to talk with us and brought his mother's favorite dish. The pasta is fresh. The pink sauceis creamy and wonderful.
