Great food. Great atmosphere. A great place on the water to have a couple of drinks and catch a game. I will definitely be back.... The bang bang shrimp is a must try. The owner Jay was awesome. Over all 5 stars for me and my girls. Read more

I went there on a Wednesday I got the deckhand sandwich which was really good. The service was good a bit slow. The only problem... was I came there shirtless and the GM said I needed a shirt since they “had problems” with shirtless customers. Gee if theyhave problems with that they should t set up shop where people are likely to do that. Honestly it’s totally nonsensical theyrequire shirts at a place near the beach that boats pull up to. Especially since there were other places I could have eaten withno problem and I chose to eat here. Anyways just wanna let people know so they don’t make the mistake I did. Read more

We have been in Orange County for 2 years and this is the only place we go out to! We are happy hour people and usually cook at... home but this place makes us feel good. They even brought my boyfriend a brownie and ice cream with fruit on his bday ?? We lovethis place! Read more

What a great deal. Full lobster tail dinner for $29. An awesome happy hour where there are some great bargains provided you... order before 6 PM. The service was “good.“ I did wait three or four minutes before someone noticed me and came to see me. Ithen waited another almost 10 minutes before a server noticed that I was there. Only when they brought food to the table behindme did someone ask if I had been helped. After that, though, the service was friendly, effective, and helpful. I believe thatChuck Norris at one time owned this establishment, and Jean-Claude Van Damme worked as a bouncer here- unless that’s adifferent “Woody’s wharf“ near the LA area… Read more

One of the few places with reservations on a busy Saturday during the Newport Beach Christmas boat parade. I think I can tell... why. Food was decent, but service is slow. Not the fault of the staff that i can tell. Staff was friendly and one of the guyswas really running around trying to get food out and tables cleaned. Problem was, place was packed and they had a party in theback room. Pretty much a party crowd too, probably due to unlimited mimosas on Sat and Sun. Food wise, I would say decent togood. Tried the clam chowder based on the servers recommendation, but also ordered the Cioppino which is what sounded best tome. Both soups had good flavors and seafood was fresh and plentiful, they were just a bit dry. Hard to do to soup, but bothneeded more broth. GF ordered the hangar steak and ahi. Ahi was good and had good flavors. I loved the fried wontons. Hangarsteak was also tasty, but can tell it had tenderizer and I personally would prefer a bit of chew than over tenderized meat. WillI be back? Maybe. Drinks were super strong and it seems like a fun place if you can get a seat outside by the water. Maybe nextsummer. Read more
