A total of five girlfriends and I went here for brunch on Sunday. The waiter (Cameron) took our cards/cash and did the... transaction. We left the table to take some photos and the waiter came to find us and told us he pressed the wrong button andour cards were not charged. He also took cash. We gave our cards, understandingly and he came back. A few minutes later he cameover again and said the system wasn?t working and our cards were not charged so he had to take our cards again. We thought itwould be easier to put it all on one card, so this time we only gave one card to make the transaction easy for him. He came backwith a receipt and a manager that said they completely voided everything and this would be the only charge. We all left and soonrealized that he did charge each card three times (mine was supposed to be $29 and he charged me $90 instead). The manager wasnot kind about the situation and we still all tipped. On June 2 at 7:15 pm, I invited some friends to join us for dinner at the Coliseum restaurant. My family and friends and I... booked a reservation for tonight two weeks ago. We often travel from Texas to Newport Coast. The Pelican Hotel and all of itsrestaurants were a pleasant experience for us. Tonight, we had a terrible experience, and I was highly disappointed in yourservice. Firstly, it took half an hour for someone to take our order at the table. After that, we waited more than an hour forour food. The medium well-done meat on my plate was completely undercooked, and no one asked if we needed anything else. Threewine glasses are needed. It took me two attempts to get a response from the waitress. When I walked up to the bar, the bartendergave me three wine glasses. No one came to clean the table and prepare it for dessert after we finished eating. Since I had todo it myself, we ordered five coffees and two teas when the dessert arrived. It took two or three times for someone to give mygrandma the heater, as she was very ill. When I asked the waitress about the bag, she said she had already given it to you.There was something wrong with our coffee. It was cold, old, and tasted awful. Despite paying more than 250 dollars for theservice fee and leaving a tip, I had a disappointing experience at your restaurant tonight. If I have a complaint about arestaurant, I prefer to speak with the management directly instead of writing a review. At the Pelican Hotel, such thingsshouldn't happen. In general, I don't write reviews when I have a problem, but I was having trouble contacting the manager ofthis restaurant. Read more
GORGEOUS views... GREAT staff. AWESOME entertainment. DELICIOUS food... Overall 10 out of a 10 stars.
Great experience overall. Amazing views, well trained, courteous staff and very good food. I like their avocado toast for... breakfast and brunch, it comes in 3 different flavors. My favorite is the Aleppo Spiced Yogurt Avocado toast with an egg on top.The Caprese Toast is also good. Definitely a nice experience for the whole family. Read more
We celebrated my 7year old granddaughter birthday. She wanted to go to a 5 star. We made a great choice. Delicious food... and gorgeous sunset. Our server was very attentive. We will go back. Read more
Beautiful place, good customer service no doubt, but the food is just 3 stars at best. It's just unfortunate that a luxury hotel... has such underaverage food. Good for hotel stay and golf, but would not recommend for the food. Read more
Ideal place to spend a romantic day or even two, or... week????. This place is wonderful. Amazing ocean view!! Sunsets are... outstanding!! Every evening is unique here. Staffers are super respectful and courteous. It is extremely difficult to find anydisadvantages , but I?ve managed to do it - you simply stick to that place and loose time perception, that what happened to me.Time stops here, even vanish. There is no more to criticize. Highly recommend that place as a vacation hub or a retreat. It isworth every dollar spent here. ???????????????? Read more
Great place to sit back and relax when that all you really want to do. Service was extremely awesome. Pool is very refreshing... and relaxing. Great food options must try the wagyu burger ???? and wash it down with the great beer options!!!! Read more
