Food seasoning was good but it was old tasted aged like it had been sitting awhile
Order 10 piece with 3 sides ( Mac, collards, and fries). The chicken was good. Those sides are terrible in portion. The Mac and... collards is same sides as individual one. How is a "family meal" suppose to feed atleast 3 ppl. Those side wasn't even enoughtfor two people. That's why they don't get 5 stars. Read more
The experience was authentic. Most of the people standing outside/inside waiting for their chicken were loyal, diehard Crown... Fried Chicken fans. When asked if this is the best chicken in Newport News, without hesitation, everyone said yes. The guy atthe register was kind, funny, and with a thick accent said, "I gave you extra piece so you come back, okay!," Knowing it was myfirst time EVER eating Crown Fried Chicken. As I open up the 8 piece and both sides (Mac n cheese/collard greens)... Yo... Thedisappointment was real. For being as busy as it was, the chicken was chewy, dry, not hot, and some pieces were straight up hardfrom being over-fried. The flavor/seasoning was super okay. As for the sides... Mac n cheese tasted like it came from riversidehospital, BUT the collards were bomb! It was truly difficult giving 3 stars to such a highly regarded local chicken joint. Read more
Great fried chicken wings with awesome crispy fries! I especially love their combo for a good price. Always fresh plus comes... with a drink. Crew?s always a bit aloof but better than being over friendly for no reason, lol. Definitely recommend. Read more
This was the worst gyro I've had yet. They do all lamb meat for it, which is my favorite, but it was chunk cut and burnt on some... parts. The pita was soft and not flavorful, the lettuce was nearly all yellow and the tzatziki wasn't spread. Read more
This my fav late night run if I need food. I typically always get their chicken and rice or lamb and rice and it's????????????.... I've tried their chicken and it's really good as well. Just stick to the basics as far as sides... French fries or rice,anything else, not so good, but their main items are really yummy. Happy eating folks???????? Read more
The good kind of greasy. Good prices and menu variety. Food cooks pretty fast. Only problem is it?s in Newport News.
