I get less enthused every time I go there. First few times in, we got real NY style pizza. Thin, crispy crust, nice toppings.... Lately, it's getting quite doughy. Went tonight, got two hot heroes. Neither was cut in half (not a killer). The skin on thesausage in my wedge was really kinda tough. I'll be picking the remnants out of my teeth for a while. front staff and bar are exceptional. food prep for singles at least during the day seem alittle off. I spent 7 years working a... East coast Pizza joint. This place definitely has the bones to be great. The flavors and the dough are there, and the singleslices are the right size but I'm used to a New York slice being a new York slice. Prices are reasonable. I really like thisplace when I walked in, I just think it could use a touch more TLC in the back. Read more

My first and probably last time I'll ever eat here. They're going under "groovy island pizza co" on door dash, and for 20 bucks... I got a small pizza the size of my hand, and a handful of fries (like the to-go box wasn't even halfway full). Definitelyshould've went somewhere else. My favorite place in NN. Great food , service, drinks, patronage. Really a undiscovered gem in a neighborhood. Give it a try... the pizza by the slice is spectacular make it anyway you like. And really relatively priced. Read more

$62 for 2 large pizzas and a calzone. Ordered extra cheese on everything. What a joke. Also there was hardly any ricotta if any... at all in my calzone and they put pizza sauce in it. Pizzas were overcooked and dry. I also see in their reviews that the ownerdoesn't contact people who leave bad reviews. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. He must know his food is trash. Read more

Great pizza - little bit pricier than the chain pizza places, but worth the higher price for a great crust and fresh ingredients

This is a favored spot of great friends... Thankfully, I finally have something to love about it. This place has always had... good service... But I've not always been a fan of food offerings; HOWEVER, the sleeper is the pasta salad. I had to get 2servings and convinced 2 more orders at my table from friends... They agreed. If there was chicken coupled with the pasta, itcould probably stand on its own as a primary offering instead of "side." Potato salad is also decent, though I'd combine dillwith this as well. The Gyro here is decent... Worth ordering if you're going to be in good company at Gus'. Read more
