Amazing! This is definitely my new Hibachi spot. I am gluten intolerant and they were so great about my food restrictions. They... offer GF soy sauce and extra rice or veggies since you can't indulge in the noodles. I did feel bad as everyone had to wait formy food to be cooked first with the gf soy sauce. The only reason for 4 stars is we had to keep looking to get our drinksrefilled and there were no tricks, jokes or shrimp thrown at our table it was a bit odd. Otherwise amazing taste. Read more

No complaints about this place. Hibachi is always good. I had sushi for the first time the other day and my rolls were... delicious. It was so good I forgot to take a picture until I had 2 pieces left. ???? Birthday cheesecake was super yummy. Read more

Great dining, appetizers are "appetizer" size. The ingredients are in plain view and looked and tasted really fresh. The balance... of flavors in the sushi rolls is perfect. Cheese and mayo are never overpowering the delicate essence of eel and, salmon andyellow fin tuna. The Mochi for dessert may have been locally made. Being accustomed to Japan and Seattle Asian food environmentit was a welcome surprise to find this place in Newport News. in 3 adults we consumed 2 sodas, 1 beer, 2 appetizers, 3 rolls, 1dessert, with tax and 18% tip the total was just at 100$. I am very satisfied. wait staff was awesome. Read more

We had a lovely visit to Hayashi Sushi. The hibachi show was very fun to watch and the food was cooked very well and tasted... fabulous. We also ordered sushi to share and it was nicely prepared and presented in a very visually appealing manner. My onlywarning is that the hibachi area can get very loud if multiple chefs begin working, so if you have anyone in your party withsensory issues with loud or sudden noise be aware and bring necessary measures to help cope. Otherwise a great time! Read more

This place is such a treat! Great for a romantic date night. The food is tasteful and cooked right in front of you (hibachi... grill). You get a good amount of food. I have visited twice, once I ordered shrimp hibachi with lobster, secondly I orderedshrimp hibachi . I will be returning sometime soon! Read more

If you?re disappointed they no longer do take-out orders for hibachi and you usually get steak, just order the ?gal bi? from the... dinner menu and upgrade it to fried rice. It also comes with a side of veggies and soup or salad. + It tastes wayyy moreflavorful than hibachi and the beef is deliciously tender! 10/10???? recommend, try it out???? you?ll LOVE it! Always greatstaff as well?? Read more

My first time attending this establishment was for a coworker that was moving to Florida and we were here for her going away... dinner. May I add this was definitely a great choice. To take in the whole experience you will have to call in advance to booka table because space is limited. The staff was polite and the restaurant was very clean. The hibachi chef was extremely funnyand made my coworkers day by flirting with her throughout the evening. The food was delicious and you will certainly leave fulland a get more food and items then you originally ordered. I will be back with my family for dinner soon and I hope the hibachichef doesn?t hit on my wife lol. Read more

I have ordered here many times and it?s been great. However, today my co workers and I ordered lunch. Our total was $102.xx. I... get there pick up our food and go back to work. I figure out that over half of our food is missing. One of my co workers got asalmon bento box. The salmon was the top tiniest piece of salmon I?ve ever seen. I went back to the restaurant to pick up therest of our order and talked to the gentleman at the front about the salmon. He basically said I don?t know what to tell you, that?s the lunch portion. My sushi roll was $13 and something I could have gotten the same thing from food lion for half theprice. The add on house salad was $3 and incredibly tiny. I?m highly dissatisfied and disappointed with our experience today. The price of the food and the quality do not match what so ever. Read more
