Avoid if you have seafood allergies. Asked to make sure my pizza did not come into contact with anchovies while it was made... since it's kind of deadly if I eat fish. Manager said that couldn't be guaranteed. I would get it if it was something likenuts or gluten, but this is just straight laziness. Read more

I run a summer sport league. Last year I ordered about $200 worth of pizzas (20 or so). This year I wanted to do the same... thing. I kept last year's receipt so on August 10 (Wed) I called asking for a manager. I spoke to John. I explained what Iwanted and that I had last year's receipt and to just repeat the order for this year with an updated price quote. He rememberedthe order because he put it in last year. So he asked me to email the receipt to the store email address and they'll take itfrom there. I emailed the receipt plus address, date & time (8/15/22 7:45PM), contact name and phone #. No one confirmed viaemail or phone so the next day I called back. Someone at the store said that John was the Fort Eustis store. I called him thereand he said that he would get someone to confirm from that store. Nothing. I called on Sunday and spoke to a manager named Sean.Explained my exasperation. I told him I need it for tomorrow/Monday multiple times. He confirmed that he will work on it nowand confirm. He called back later and confirmed it. Come Monday at 7:59PM, no pizza. I called and they said that they had put itin for TUESDAY! I am ordering from Dominoes from now on. Fail. Read more

Needed pizza to feed volunteers for a food drive and John, the manager of this location, was super helpful, even giving us a... better deal than what we found online. John had our large order hot, fresh, and ready on time for us. I am a strictly papa girl, but this visit was horrible. Our Pizza was flat, way to much sauce, not enough cheese (esp. $ 4... extra) and it was burnt. I used my Papa rewards and felt like they decided because I was not paying the full $40 it did not needto meet the standard. I will say this is not our normal store. Called the store to inform of a food allergy and asked that precautions be taken. Was called back less than 2 minutes later and... was told, "Sorry but my manager stated that we are not a hypoallergenic store, we can't guarantee that your order will not becross-contaminated." I cancelled the order and will no longer be ordering from Papa John's due to this. It's not hard to take afew more minutes to ensure that your customers don't end up in the emergency department.
