Here?s the thing- Plaza Azteca has been around our area forever. It has been the go to fun fun place for Mexican, for a long... time. The food is good. It?s not top notch, it?s not amazing, it?s not fine dining, but it?s good. It?s always fast. Themargaritas are always solid, good. What is super disappointing are their prices. Yes, prices are high for food everywhere. Andthey are, no doubt. The grocery store and restaurants. So, there?s that. But Plaza has been going up and up for a while now.Right now for a simple chicken fried rice they charge $12.95 for just the rice. Twelve ninety five. If you want chicken it?splus $5 or $5.95. Basically almost $20 for one serving of chicken fried rice. My son and I went two nights ago and we each got aregular meal, nothing fancy, he got a beer and I got a small margarita. $74 including tip. For two people. We?re talking Plaza.While it?s been the fun go to for a long time, that?s the last time we?re going there. If the other two people in our family hadgone that would have easily been $140-150. I get it. We chose to go out to eat. I?m not complaining about the tip. I?m happy totip and try to tip very fairly. It?s the way they have increased and now give less food. It?s be different if that was finedining. It?s not fine dining. It?s good, I?m not saying it?s bad. But it?s not worth that. They have gotten a bit big for theirbritches. I very much recognize higher food prices - I get it. But it?s too much. Not for what they serve. I guess we?ll beheading to Papa Nachos from now on. :/ Read more
I have always loved Plaza Azteca. It is large portions of delicious food. This visit our server was great. He ensured we had... what we needed, and gave extra chips and salsa when needed. The only slightly down side was that the burrito should have hadshredded chicken but had chunked chicken so it wasn't as delicious as usual. Read more

Um, yes. We spoke with the manager who was very kind and caring, and he assured us this was a great place to eat. I?ve now... ordered there twice, and enjoyed each meal. One was a pick up order, I was a bit late, (5 min) and food was still hot andamazing. And one was a dine in experience. Something that?s super important to me is that the place is clean, and I love that.Waiters seem to be knowledgeable and savvy, and not spacey. Love the choices here. Our server did not stay at our table long enough to get our full order to start with. We asked for real menus and was told we... had to use the digital version on our phones. Then my steak was supposed to be medium wel and it came out medium rare. On topof that,it was half done and Gristle. The server came by wanting to know of everything was okay and I said no and shook my headno, he replied okay and keep walking by. I asked to speak to a manager and the hostess sent the server and then he got themanager. When I explained things to the manager he just said I am sorry and walked away not to return. I then walked up frontand asked the manager was anything going to be done and again he said I am sorry and I spoke to the server and cook and that isall I can do. I asked for a phone number to reach the owner and he gave me a web address. This was the WORST experience that Ihave ever had going out to dinner in all my life. Then I left push the door a little hard, not meaning to, and the manager cameout behind me to take a pic of my tag as if I broke stole something. "Run of the Mill" Tex-Mex from a local chain restaurant. The best thing of the meal was the "White Sauce"! And leaving... ????

Order was missing side of rice. Reminded him twice. Waiter finally remembered when we were finished eating. Ordered extra cheese... for $3.25 and it was a mini Dixie cup. The kind you pump ketchup in at a fast food restaurant. (Unbelievable) Read more
