Let me start by saying the bowl itself was fantastic! Excellent portions of protein and delicious flavor. Being that I am gluten... free, I was impressed with my wide array of sauce options. The Yuzu sauce was incredible. I also really loved that quinoa was anoption. Of the poke places I have tried in the Newport News area, this definitely had the best flavor! What made the experiencenot so excellent was: 1. The service was extremely slow. I understand that perhaps the staff is new, so I can understand. Itstill did however hamper the experience a bit. And I feel it could have been faster if the young man was more focused on thefood preparation and less talking with his friend(s). 2. Yikes, the price is expensive! Inflation has really come in with avengeance. I did add an extra protein to one bowl, as well as avocado to both bowls (these are understandable up-charges) but$50 for two bowls was insane. Especially for a fast-casual experience. 3. Lastly, it wasn?t until after my bowl was finishedbeing made (and he was topping it off with avocado) that I realized the guy making my bowl had NO GLOVES on. ???? I wish I hadnoticed sooner, but my bowl was already finished (and again it was very slow to be made). So I crossed my fingers and ate it inhopes that his hands were at least washed. I certainly hope this was an employee slip up and not their standard procedure. If Igo back, I will be sure to pay extra close attention and request gloves BEFORE they touch the food going into my bowl. Read more

This place is SO GOOD. The food is so fresh, and the sauce they use is delicious. The servers are always very helpful because... the first time you get a poke bowl it might be kind of confusing. You also get plenty of food in your bowl. I can't say enoughhow spectacular the food at this place is. Try it!!! Read more

Great poke in the Jefferson commons area. Their premade bowls are good. High quality ingredients, fresh and clean environment.... Orders are made quickly mine was done in 5 minutes. Their selection of ingredients is not as good as some competitors which isthe main reason I reserved one star. Otherwise a solid place to enjoy Poke. Read more

Our favorite poke bowl place... our only one actually. Being a Hawaiian family in Virginia, we were ecstatic when this place... opened. Any taste of home is a wonderful experience for us.
