What happened? This restaurant used to be so good. Our meal tonight for 6 of us was mediocre at best and service was poor.... Mashed potatoes were cold and entres were just ok. The pasta alfredo was bland and starchy and had no taste. The steak was justOK. Other meals were 6 to 7.5 at best. The waitress was nowhere to be found most of the time and I had to get up and ask anotherwaitress to find her to order more wine. Our waitress served 2 of our entres and proceeded to clear the bread dishes and saladforks before serving the other 4 entres- really??? At the end of the dinner when we complained about the cold potatoes andservice the waitress got sarcastic. Little did we know that she didn't care because a 20% tip was included in the bill. Food was bland. Lobster ravioli I think they had no real Lobster. My wife's pene vodka tasted like fish. Was not happy with our... visit. $136.00 two meals and 3 glasses of wine. Not very Italian....... Read more
I've only been a regular customer these past few months & can absolutely say that the dining/food experience has been totally... pleasurable each & every time I've been here! The chef is great because I've never had a bad dish & the service was great asalways! Will highly recommend this establishment. I'll continue to be a faithful customer as well!! Read more
The overall experience wasn’t great. The hostess wasn’t pay attention to 3 group of people waiting for her when we walked... in. Arancini we ordered for appetizer wasn’t crusty, it wasn’t deep fried how it suppose to be and it was blend. Wine wasgood, but they forgot about the coke for the child. Pasta… lobster ravioli is home made which you can taste and was good, butrigatoni bolognese is awful . They used store pasta with awful store sauce for $22. The other pasta we had was orrechiato withItalian sausage, store pasta with clammy sauce.., not recommended , if you know something about Italian food -don’t go there,you ll pay $120 for bad food. My wife and I enjoyed a few meals there. My wife even indicated that she believed that this was her favorite restaurant since... the Lion House in Ogdensburg closed. Subsequently, she went personally to the owner to the restaurant to make a reservation forour anniversary, confirmed with the owner, and another employee for the time and the table that we wanted. She confirmed thatit was written in the book at the receptionist desk. It was an off day during the week, not many customers there for ouranniversary, but when we got there, could not see any other customers in the restaurant especially in the bar area where we hadreserved the table we wanted (the parking lot only had a few cars there). Much to our dismay, we found that the table had beentaken. All the plans that my wife had made for us and our very special friends were ....it was a very special table and timeswith conversations for many other reasons. It was our first anniversary. The restaurant accepted our reservation for 7 pm even though they were apparently overbooking themselves. They had two separate... wedding parties there, or something of the like, and we stood in the lobby area for nearly half an hour waiting to be seated.After finally sitting down in the corner of a crowded room at 7:30 next to one of the VERY LOUD parties, we couldn't even have aconversation with one another though we were sitting less than two feet across from each other. We left without even orderinganything; although the waiter would have probably needed another 20 minutes to get to our table.
