We made reservations for this evening over a week ago. The wait for the table was short. They sat us in the middle of the road... next to a table of 20. It was obviously one of those 2 person tables that was a last thought. I asked to move due to the noise.They moved us to a little quieter table by the water station. Not as much noise, lots of traffic. Our waiter greeted us and hewas the best. His name was Vassi and he always checked in us. I ordered us drinks which were great, the winter old fashion wasawesome. Dinner and dessert were really good. I had the Rosa sauce which was really good, the red sauce was a little bland formy taste. We ended the night with a cannoli, superb. So while the food was good, there were allot of large parties which madethe restaurant very loud. The only downside was that they stuck us at 2 tables which seemed to be placed in inconvenient placesand there were 2 people at many of the 4 person tables, which were empty when we arrived but filled when we left. The service on a Friday night was a little less attentive. Bussers and hostess were very quick, server however felt lost. The... food came out really quick, this is a great Italian restaurant. The taste is very authentic to Italian cuisine. The sauce has adistinct flavor that may be a little for some to adjust to. Our soup was scrumptious, the entrees were good as well. Wouldrecommend to all people who live in Newtown to atleast try, very ambient environment great for a date night, special celebrationor just good old family get together. Read more
Wonderful time here!!! Came here with a group of 4 of us & had a great time. I had the pasta purses & added shrimp to it & it... was delish. We had even ordered dessert martinis & the chocolate soufflé which I could’ve eaten for days. Our server wasGabby, she was very knowledgeable & friendly - She was attentive even with how busy they were! Loved the atmosphere & thehanging edison bulbs are everything. The staff was very accommodating and patient with our large party of 7. The food and wine was delicious. I got a broccoli pasta... dish that was so large I was able to take it home and get two more meals out of it. The outdoor seating area was gorgeous, butsince it was full we sat indoors. There are some very strange paintings and decorations on the walls that make for goodconversation while waiting. The location is pretty far from my usual stomping grounds but I would definitely visit again. Read more
Good wine selection. Wonderful indoor and outdoor atmosphere. Good for party or wedding reception. Wonderful services even... during the prime time. However, food taste did not meet my expectations compared to the restaurants at Glam in Venice. Withthis high price range I was expecting more tasty food that makes me feel like I could die for. Italian restaurant with plenty of space and selection of food. From the wine selection to traditional Italian meals, the place... is popular. The outdoor area is very spacious with a dining section and bar under a canopy. The inside is cozy. Had the 16 ouncesteak and the Branzino cooked to perfection. Read more
Celebrated my husband’s birthday here last night. We’ve come multiple times over the last 8 years, but last night was the... best. The burrata salad and seafood fettuccine was perfection, the veal and calamari were great, the desserts were on point(ricotta cheesecake is a must) and our server Liz was the sweetest and very attentive. Big cheers to owner Marc Masso who takesthe extra time to right any wrongs and even personally seats us guests. I was very impressed. We will be back with manyfriends.
