So disappointed... Service was just ok and the food was horrible. If it were just one meal that wasn't good, I would give this... place another shot. However, my family of 6 all ordered different dishes, and were all disappointed. We ordered pan searedshrimp served on spaghetti in a basil cream sauce, homemade ricotta gnocchi with gorgonzola, spaghetti with house made beef andpork bolognaise sauce, orechiette with seared beef and prosciutto wrap chicken with goat cheese and mushroom risotto. What a wonderful experience, from the cosy ambiance from the wood burning pizza oven, and extra friendly and helpful server to... the delicious food and drink. I ordered the beef short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and veg that was so tender, it fell offmy fork. My friend went with the creamy light pasta with grilled shrimp. We all cleaned our plates. I made reservations for September 4th for myself and my very good friend for lunch. I had been to The Old Winery before, but my... friend had not. Nice ambience, great patio which was not in use this day due to the weather. Upon entering, the Hostess Emmagreeted us, asked if we had reservations. She is an absolute sweetheart and very personable. Emma is a great asset to The OldWinery. Thank you Emma!!!! We were shown to a very nice table in the ‘Red Room’. It wasn’t busy. Friendly wait staff, aplus. After perusing the menu, I ordered the Chilli and parmesan crusted calamari with roast garlic and dill yogurt, my friendordered the Grilled Beef Burger, Double Smoked Bacon, Smoked Cheddar, Caramelized Onions. He said his burger was good and verytasty. Unfortunately, my Calamari was ‘ok’. Parmesan coat was nice, the dip was good. The batter on the shrimp was toothick, pieces were falling off and a little overdone. I’ve had much better Calamari at other restaurants. We both orderedWhite Russians, very good. Pretty good Italian restaurant with amazing wood-fired oven pizza and gnocchi???? Servings are decent but a little over... priced We ordered: 1. Chardonnay Pizza ($19) The cheese blended in with the light crispy dough so well???? loved the variety oftoppings with caramelices onions. Overall lighter than I expected 2. Hand-Made Ricotta Gnocchi in Gorgonzola Cream Sauce($21) Pasta’s so doughy and soft! Less chewy than I thought it’d be but still amazing anyways. Sauce is less savory and alittle sweet 3. Dropped in without reservation on a weeknight after visiting Niagara on the lake. Plenty of parking front and there's more at... the back as well. No wait when we went in, with plenty of seats still available. Food was great, especially the pasta was verydelicious, my son loved it! Really Great Italian flavours. Got the Chardonnay pizza and the truffle oil did not disappoint. Service was great, very fast... too. The ricotta cheesecake was great - not too heavy and just the right creaminess. The atmosphere was very cozy and it did getpretty busy around 6pm, with a bit of a line up to get a seat. The price was also great, this was a great stop for dinner withgreat food and service without the price tag attached to the nearby wineries. Will definitely be back in the future. Read more

Best Wood Oven Pizza I have ever had. The ambiance of the restaurant was 10/10. Perfect place for a date or dine out with... family/friends. They have the best pizza and salad options. Everyone in the restaurant was welcoming and friendly including thelady who greeted us at the door and our server. They had dessert coffee options as well which I found interesting as I havenever had one before. They also gave us dessert cake on the house as we were celebrating our anniversary. It was the bestexperience of our Niagara Falls trip. Would definitely visit again. Highly recommended! Read more
