We as a large group stumbled upon Hooligans for lunch. Great food, great service. Everyone?s meal was delicious.
Have to say I?m not a person to write reviews, as someone who is also a server I understand the job is hard, there?s a lot of... moving parts that a lot of people just don?t understand. That being said I d never watched such apathy to a group of peoplewalking in to spend money. We have come in several times after hockey usually spending a lot of money, tipping well and cleaningup after ourselves. Today we were looking forward to finally coming back after the recent lockdown. We were not acknowledged for30 minutes. We sat and waited for a server to come greet us, as a male bartender could not have been less interested in his job.He went to several tables including stopping to have a full conversation nice and comfortable for steady 5 minutes. Hiscounterpart was directly in vision of us and could clearly see us turning looking and trying to get her attention, but insteadwas too busy weighing the liquor bottles 3 hours before close. We patiently waited but after not being acknowledged decided toleave for another bar. It?s unfortunate because what was a weekly outing for us will be directed else where. Not looking for ahandout, but I encourage your staff to not let money walk in and out with such apathy for your business. Read more
I was in the falls for a day and decided to stop by Hooligans as it was recommended by a local. Ordered the bacon cheese burger... with fries and the Philly cheese steak sandwich and fries. PLEASE do not let the pics fool you, the food was not all that.First off, I ordered a Pepsi and it tasted funny so I asked the server what's up with the Pepsi? She told me it's not Pepsi it'sno name pop and that's all they have is no name. (I thought that was kinda false advertising). Yes the burger looks great butthe problem was the horribly bland tasteless meat puck. Maybe thats why they tried to hide it under the salad served on top theburger. The same goes for the cheese steak, just plain steak meat, cheese and bits of green pepper with no flavor. Fries weredry and unsalted. Overall I would NOT recommend this place for a Pepsi first of all, nor for the food. 2/5 just because theserver was honest and the burger toppings were fresh. Read more
I've been going there for years. Good for group gatherings, a beer and wings with a buddy or to watch a game. It's a pub,... service is good for the most part. Every place is having staff issues, nobody's fault and they're no different. Prices are good,they never leave me hungry or thirsty. Would I take my first date there to impress her, likely not here or any pub. Read more
