Rangers are friendly, place is nice, people are ok, the bugs sucked but that's the wild, honestly great price less than $100... for a week plus close by beach. 2 min drive so you can set up quick before everyone piles in. Worth it Read more
Great state park to visit and camp in. It's affordable to rent a site, with plenty of amenities like water spouts,... trash/recycle, toilets, and showers within reasonable distance of camp sites. Easy walkable and drivable access to the beachwith a soft sand beach. Fishing and crabbing in the salt marshes and off the beach and jetty. Also an easy hike to a cool littlecave. Overall a great state park and fun place to camp with family and friends. Quick drive under 10 minutes to get to localstores in case you forget anything for your trip. Read more

Very serene and peaceful. It wasn't that crowded on a Saturday afternoon. The beach is well maintained, loads of parking spots.
Very cozy small beach in a quite large state park with many tables. The sandy beach stretches out in a wave. Not much wind due... to the train rail.right behind it blocking the air flow. it was warm enough under the sun in a 16 degree weather. Worth to see.Summer would be nice here. Read more
Free for CT residents (must have CT plates on vehicle) to utilize beach. Beautiful spot with beach access, spots for crab... fishing, bird watching and camping. Great viewing spot for many birds (egrets, etc). Beach is great for kids. Shallow waters,mild waves. Not too rocky. Clean. Has showers and bathrooms on both sides of the parking lot. Lots of parking available but beprepared to do some walking out to the beach. Trains pass by frequently throughout the day so it can get loud at times. Read more
Beautiful beach and campground. It has an impressive shelter built in 1935. Great place to walk around and enjoy the scenery.... The restrooms were still open in the main campground but the one by the beach was closed for the season. Read more
