I used to absolutely loved this theater when they had actual wait staff. Now you order on an app and they bring it to you... (except alcohol. You have to go to the lobby and buy separate) kind of an inconvenience compared to how it used to be. Foodprices increased dramatically over the past two years. We hadn't been to The Movie Tavern since before covid broke out. We finally had the opportunity to go back and took our daughter... and her cousin with us. We all enjoyed the movie experience and before that we ordered dinner and they brought it to our seatsat the time requested. The food was great! We all had a great time and look forward to our next visit. Read more

Humph.... So I have a mixed review on this one. So I haven't been to movie tavern since it was located on Richmond road in... Lexington. Which was a while ago...(don't judge me) However, I do feel like the facility is nice the theater is very spaciousand the recliners are awesome!! My only complaint would be ordering on the app. It takes a while and then I wasn't able to ordercertain items and I had to go to the bar area to order. The wings that we ordered was pretty good they needed to be cooked alittle bit longer even after I put that on my special instructions they still wasn't. However they was edible. The loaded frieswere Great and the pepsi was good and strong.I will go back again and update this review hopefully the app will work better nexttime???????????????? Read more
I usually am not one to complain. I had a horrible experience yesterday. I ended up paying over 100$ on food and tickets to see... THOR in 3D. The entire first half of the movie was just blurry and not in 3D. I am a single mother, I have been pinchingPennie?s just to be able to take my child to this movie and my heart is broken that I spent all of that money that could havewent such a long way for someone like me on this theatre. The sound I believe they forgot to turn up after the previews, it wasa very quite and blurry movie. On top of that all, there was also a man there that was alone sitting right beside me with hisface turned toward me SNORING so loud I could Not hear the movie what?s so ever. The food was super expensive, we ordered achicken salad that was 16$ it tasted terrible like it had gone bad but I ate it anyways because I hadn?t eaten at all that dayat 700pm because I made sacrifices to be able to go there and eat with my kids and see the movie. My children ordered cheesesticks and those were okay. I?m just so upset. We will not get another chance to go out together and do something fun for alongtime due to financial situations. This isn?t okay, I know mistakes happen but we paid so much money and the 3D wasn?t turned onand the volume was so low it was hard to make out what was even happening in the movie. This was a really nice Movie Tavern. The appearance inside was very clean, and there wasn't much of a crowd for a weekend. The... bar was open, but there was no seating. Food options was available, but you had to use a website to order, and the menu waslimited.. Overall my post Covid-19 experience was good. The theater is practicing social distancing. There was plenty of spacebetween myself and other people. There were a lot of showtimes available, and this is a nice size theater. This is a goodtheater to go into, and I highly recommend it. We have been here before and really enjoyed ourselves. Great food and the reclining seats are awesome but this time we had to... order our food on the app which was absolute hell to set up. Very inconvenient especially when you try to order in the darkduring the movie. I feel they should go back to the waiters and physical menus! The price of the food is extremely HIGH!! 7.25for a coke??? COME ON NOW THATS JUST RIDICULOUS! Very disappointed in the changes they have made since my last visit.
