I look forward to coming here every time I?m home from University! I?ve gotten the NY Strip Steak sandwich twice and it?s my... favorite; the steak is perfectly cooked and tender over a layer of avocado-pico on a french bread. I also recently tried thesteak and fries (pictured here) and it was extraordinary. In fact, it?s even better than steak and fries I?ve had at otherrestaurants. Pretty good. However, the chicken sandwich was pretty mild, more sweet than any noticeable spice. If there was a hotter sauce on... side, that would have been nice. The bulgogi taco, I would have liked to be cut up a bit more; the meat cut was not bite size.Besides this it was some good and interesting fusion cuisine. Presentation was great. Read more
If you?re experiencing fine dining with unmatched hospitality you must be at Phoenix Flame. The care Yanko and his staff put... into their fresh fare doesn?t stop at just the food, it?s seen in their dedication to serving the customer until you arecompletely satisfied. While I dined in this evening I was guided through the menu taking suggestions on what would best suit mypallet and given the backstory on how menu items have found their place. I knew then this wasn?t just a spot for a quick bite,but an establishment built on serious consideration on how to bring people and food together. Settling with both the Niles HotChicken and the John Hogan NY Strip Sandwich, Yanko was kind enough to cut them for us and serve each of them so we can havehalf of each. You can?t go wrong with either one, however if you don?t start your meal with the Martinez Cups you ARE doing itwrong! As always, Yanco and his restaurant, Phoenix Flame does not disappoint! Their food and menu choices continue to grow and get... better each time. More importantly, their customer service is superb! Yanco really cares about his customers and I just love howthis is a family run business! If you ever want something fresh, clean and delicious, try Phoenix Flame! I recommend the bananawith goat cheese and salmon tacos!!!!! So delicious!!!!! So very happy with Phoenix Flame!!!!! I am adding to my review becausewe just tried the Thanksgiving menu 2021. We were so happy with the menu selection. We did half chicken and half turkey, yucamashed potatoes, salad and dessert!!!! Oh my goodness! The portions were so generous! The chicken with wine sauce was delicious!The turkey was tender and the yuca mashed potatoes melts in your mouth! The food was ready for pickup and my guests were sohappy with the food. I?ve been meaning to write this review for ages, because I am obliged to join the chorus of those singing the praises of Yanco... and Phoenix Flame! Yanco took us through the whole menu ?A to Z? and gave us his recommendations, which we accepted. I can?tremember the last meal we?ve had at a new place where literally Everything we tried, we absolutely loved. Forgot to takepictures of the appetizers, the yucca fries and octopus, but we dove right in and devoured those goodies! For our main courses,I had the short rib sandwich. Other reviewers on here have done a wonderful job articulating the interplay of the flavors andingredients, so for more details, look up ?short rib sandwich,? but I will just say for now it was Beyond delicious, and myfries were really good too. My husband got the Mixed Flame, which included a sliced Mediterranean sausage, two sliced pieces ofpork, and two short ribs, seasonal vegetables, and Phoenix Flame potatoes. All of which were completely perfect. We also sharedthe Plantain Maduro side, which was similarly scrumptious. Our 1.5 year old daughter enjoyed sharing from our meals as well; itwas the perfect family date night! The creativity and boldness of these dishes truly blew us away. Everything we tried was amazing I wish I took pics of the appetizers and soup but we were so hungry and dug right in. The... hangover soup has just the right amount of spice. The octopus super tender and delicious and the chicken sandwich I?ll dreamabout. My friend said the feta cheese was creamy and the best she ever had on a salad. And the owner Yanko is there with hisfamily and so friendly answering any questions about any recipee as they are all his from scratch. My only regret is that Ididn?t come sooner!! Read more
Me and my buddy came here before heading to King Spa and the service was fantastic! We got the steak sandwich and Nashville... fried chicken sandwich. Both super juicy and flavorful. I also had the soup - it was great, especially for the fall weather weare now having. The GM and Chef both worked at high profile restaurants in Chicago, so they know all the industry vets. Theyeven have some of their menu items named after them! The place just opened during the start of COVID, so give them some love! Read more
