What a disappointment! My first hotel choice was unavailable so I booked here. Room needed to be updated. No phone to call... the front desk. No hairdryer. No kleenex. Poor/no lighting in the parking lot. Restaurant wasn't open for breakfast Sundaymorning so went to A&W; not many places open at 7 a.m. I'm sure anywhere else in town is better than this place. Disgusting room, toenails and ketchup chips all over carpet!!! We slept in clothes as clearly room wasn't cleaned and bed was... remade. No one around to check us in, after a while a lady at the front desk informed me she didn't work there and I would haveto go into the bar and find somone! After the bar closed people were wandering around knocking on doors. We didn't bother tocomplain as no one around to solve any problems anyway, just a friendly overworked bartender! Read more
The Kingfisher Inn is the most beautiful place to stay, Where you're only a stranger once, treated like family. Truly feels like... home with the delicious home cooked meals that are cooked by a Professional Chef of 25+ years, who also owns the restaurant withhis Wife! Come by and try the best food in town!!! I highly recommend the Kingfisher Inn to anyone looking for a great place to stay, while in Nipawin or area. You really won?t... get better anywhere else. Not only does this hotel offer everything you need without having to leave the grounds, it has anaccommodating staff that gives exceptional, professional service and ready to assist your every need! I chose to stay here whilethe inside of my house was being re-painted. The room we stayed in was very impressive. It was newly renovated; impeccablyclean, with a very comfortable bed and new bedding! It was a spacious room, with a new gorgeous bathroom and high speedinternet, that both my spouse and I needed. The bar has been beautifully newly renovated, with a fresh new atmosphere; pooltables and tv?s mounted at every angle, to either enjoy watching sports while you eat, drink and have fun or later; dance thenight away to good music on a monster sound system! The food was also excellent. Everything we ordered was reasonably priced-cooked to perfection and very delicious! Absolutely zero complaints about anything here! All around excellent experience! I had a wonderful time. I had come from out of town to visit family. We all met up at the kingfisher. It was a great atmosphere,... the service was great and the bartender we had was great. Jeff was a funny bartender and helped our night be extra fun. Thanksfor the accommodations. Read more
