Really like this spot. Right next to a boat marina, plenty of parking and outdoor seating. Upper deck seating was available,... with stairs access, no handicap ramp up. Typical New England by the water seafood shack. Good variety to choose from the largemenu board which hangs on the side wall where the entrance ally by the water, before you get to the walk-up order window. Ichose to try the smaller lobster roll for $22. It was a little disappointing. It was served on a room temperature hamburgerroll. About a half cup of cold lobster meat was bunched together, the scoop shape very obvious. The lobster had been cooked aday or more prior, so the lobster was not as firm as fresh lcooked obster would be. The fries were good. Their fried haddocksandwich was good, the onion rings were excellent. Overall, I gave it 3-1/2 stars. Read more

Excellent fried seafood. Scallops, clams, shrimp were lightly breaded and not greasy. Fries were good, but onion rings were... clumped together, undercooked and greasy. Disappointed to have to deal with loud close-up live music on a mid-week evening, forthe first time in memory at Costellos. Hard to talk and enjoy the lovely views in peace, neighboring tables agreed with us.Tables up close to the two-person band were occupied by one or two people each who thought they were at a cabaret, taking tablesaway from customers looking to sit down and eat. Low point of the evening was the guitarist and drummer attempting to cover"Sympathy for the Devil". Yow! Read more

My husband and I went to Costello?s yesterday. Last year, we tried Abbotts for the first time and love the lobster rolls, so we... decide to give Costello?s a try. We were very disappointed. There were only maybe half a dozen people there, so it wasn?t verybusy for a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the fish and chips my husband ordered a whole belly clam plate and we also orderedfritters. We found the portions pretty small, everything was very greasy, and not very warm at all. Our order did sit out on thecounter for a good 10 minutes while our fritters were being cooked. Once I realized it was our order I asked to take it and justget the fritters when ready. The view was amazing and the workers were very kind and polite, but we won?t be back. Woodman?s inEssex MA is by the far the best fried seafood place around. Read more

We have been going here for years, however this was our last time. Lunch for three cost $65.00 with no beverages, just water. ... They raised their prices and cut their portions smaller. The portions now are so tiny. The fish platter portions were so smalland the french fries were overcooked and no flavor what so ever, and the fish had way to much batter on it and it was well overcooked. The clam chowder was so over salted that we could not eat it at all. We were there July 3, 2022. Its to bad, but wewill look for somewhere else. Read more

Nice place for lobster & some clams, on the water with only outdoor seating. They don?t serve any alcohol but I seen people... brought there own wine. My wife had the the lobster roll & it was so good she ordered another one to go. Also had the friedbelly clams, clam strips & fried calamari, everything was good. French fries are excellent. Stopped by for some waterfront views and dining. You order at a window and then pick up at a separate window. Fried clam bellies... were fresh and pretty sweet. My favorite dish by far was probably the steamers. Quality and quantity was very good for theprice. We got the fish tacos too, which was ok, but wouldn't go out of my way to get again. Seating is first come first served.Orders took a while to come out. Bathrooms are available on the premise but they only have two one toilet bathrooms. Overall, good place to come on a nice summer day and settle down with a heaping pile of steamers. Read more
