Came here on our anniversary to try lobster rolls for the first time. Let me tell you, it was AMAZING! The food was fresh,... service was quick, and the atmosphere was very friendly. I think we found a new favorite. Read more

Very cool and unique laid-back atmosphere with outdoor kitchen and dinging area situated on a dock overlooking the Mystic... Harbor. The staff was decent. FYI, it is BYOB but you can purchase bottled water. We ordered the lobster bowl (without the breadbowl) and cheeseburger. Both were great. Come to this place for a great, super laid back atmosphere. Once we saw the video of the Fords Lobster Bomb posted on CT Now in 2016, we?ve gone at least once a year. Do you love lobster?... Do you love bisque? Do you love sour dough bowls? This is for you! If you don?t love lobster (or you?d prefer any and manysorts of other lobster options) there are still many choices on the menu for you, so bring yourself and your lobster lovingfriends! There are no reservations and the lines can be hours long depending on the day and time but it?s BYOB and you candrink in the parking lot overlooking the sound while you wait! It?s all outdoor seating so, even when the weather is gorgeouswhere you are, bring a jacket because we?ve been enveloped by fog in the past and it got chilly in a hurry. Have a boat? Floatright up to the dock, tie up and get full service right to you including real plates and silverware. I highly recommend andwill be going again! Read more

Last night we came here for dinner. The view is beautiful from the deck it seems like you are having your dinner/lunch on your... deck. Their lobster menu is a bit pricey but lobsters are fresh and delicious. We had ordered their famous Bisque Bomb which wasa whopping 58$ but no doubt that was delicious. However, their Mac and cheese could have been better. Read more

Classic lobster "shack," literally. A tiny shack, right on the dock. Very cool. The seating is also outdoors on the dock.... There's a big awning to provide shade for some seats. Others are available in the sun. Super casual vibe but Class A lobster. It's not cheap....32 bucks for a lobster roll in August. About normal. But here are the savings: it's BYOB! Grab your beer, wine, and rum, and your cooler, and get on down there, they are totally cool with that. Then enjoy cold Gansetts and lobster, and sing songs from Jaws at a medium level, while enjoying the views of the sea. Delicious seafood. Highly recommended. Read more

Fords Lobster is always a must visit whenever we?re back home in CT. They had outdoor dining, which is near the docks. You can... enjoy the fresh air and watch the boats go by. Their indoor dining wasn?t open when we were there. Fair warning, the wait timecan get long in the summer. Particularly around lunch time. They do have parking, but it?s limited especially during the busytimes. If you?re up for the hour to 2 hr wait, you can take a nice stroll around the small town, Noank. 100% worth the wait forus. There is was a little art museum and some extra seating to the left of Fords. Not pictured were the FRESH oysters weordered. Definitely a must order if fresh seafood is your thing. Lobster bomb was a delicious splurge, you get a lot of lobstermeat! Lobster roll was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Lobster Mac and cheese was a craving that day, i probably wouldn?t getit again. But it was delicious non the less. Overall, don?t let the wait time discourage you. If you have some time to spare, check out this local hidden gem. You won?t be disappointed! Read more

We came here for lunch. The place is nice right on the water with a great view. The lobster was fresh. Had a nice bite to it... and not heavily drenched in sauce. This bowl has some lobster bisque with fresh lobster on top. Staff was very attentive andpleasant. Fries were a great addition. Highly recommend this place. Read more

After hearing about the legendary Ford?s Lobsters for so long, we made a detour on our most recent Mystic trip! It wasn?t the... best weather outside, but this allowed us to get inside easily without a wait. We started with appetizers of the clams casinoand a cup of lobster bisque. The bisque was very smooth and wasn?t filled with big chunks of lobster meat, which is how Ipersonally prefer it. The clams casino were good, and the pieces of bacon were super thick and had a nice smoky flavor. My momenjoyed her lobster roll, and the men in our family each ordered one of the famous bisque bombs. I don?t know how they finishedit! The bread bowl reminded me a bit of puffy pastry and withheld the filling very well. It was mostly huge chunks of lobsterwith bisque over top, and you certainly get your moneys worth! I had the crab cake which was good, but a bit over cooked on theoutside. Overall compared to a lot of places we?ve gone for seafood in the area, Ford?s has been one of the best! We willdefinitely come back! Read more
