Worth a 700-mile motorcycle ride to have the best ice cream ever (Coconut Cream Pie and Chocolate Malt Caramel)! I used to go to... the original Handel's near Youngstown, Ohio, in the 70's cause I grew up there, but this ice cream is better than I remembered!The girl at the counter here was super friendly, too. Ice cream was great! Price is as expected for a place like this. They are generous with the amount you get. They pride... themselves on not skimping. Service is rather slow. Stood outside for 34 minutes before being able to place my order. Theyseemed to have plenty of people but they worked the line differently than you would expect. Each worker took an order and thenmade your items. You would expect there to be one person taking orders and the others making orders to keep the line moving.Like most pick up locations like this you order at one window then move down the cue to the pick up location. Not here youorder and pick up at the same location. This clutters up the line and causes long wait times. I think with a new procedurethey could get the average wait time down to 5 minutes no problem. Assuming the average customer orders 4 different items. Read more

A must-got-to place with the entire family. Skip DQ or other ice cream places and go here. Get a sampler and try 4 flavors. ... Best flavor we had was the Birthday Cake with Butter Cream Iceing (see photos). Now I wish we had a cooler in the car so wecould have brought a quart back home for later.
