A nice hole in the wall kind of bar in an old building. The service is slow but the drinks are nice and cold. The popcorn was a... smart idea on their part. It made everyone drink more thought. The burgers are very good too. Read more

Syd?s has gone downhill since the new owners took over. Ordered the taco salad and it was ice cold. Probably shouldn?t have... eaten it. Friends I was with ordered the nachos said they were also very cold. Think our food was sub par, Syd?s has definitelygone down hill! Read more
No noticeable change with the new owners. Same typical experience as you expect. Good food. You gotta try to get the attention... of a server to get a drink. Tip: Don't put money in the juke box, either someone put $1000 in it before I got there or it'scontrolled by the bar and you'll never hear your music. I'm assuming it's the latter. Read more
Awful. I can appreciate the fact that it is an old building and the fact that it is going to have that "old building smell" and... what not. It adds to the charm of the town square experience. The food was less than charming. My son (12) ordered the chickensalad sandwich and it was quite literally 2 pieces of white bread with chicken salad on it. No toast, no lettuce, no tomato, nocheese....and fries. I ordered half a rack of ribs and it was drier than a well done steak. My husband's ordered the catfishdinner and if you like fried foods you will be in heaven. Fried catfish with fried hush puppies and fries. We waited forever forservice and our meal totaled $80! It can only be described as a run down greasy spoon. Read more
Solid pub experience, it's got a retro feel without trying to be hipster or ironic. Ample selection of items from the fryer.... Stopped in for an appetizer and a couple of drinks after shopping in the square. We got the steak fries with cheese and bacon.Ended up being really good. Overall mid-range experience, I'd give it a 3.5 if we could get half stars. Would be fun for drinksand apps but likely wouldn't make it into heavy rotation if I lived close. They have a really cool shuffle board but it waswrapped up and looked to be unused. might have felt different if it was an active centerpiece of the bar. Read more
