Quite a character taking orders, lots of personality and not shy about offering recommendations. Super cool to see an employee... that proud of their product. The food was pretty good - the meats were super tender and flavorful, but the sides were a littlesoggy and tired. Portions were good, but the atmosphere left something to be desired. Great BBQ place! It's small and local and the food is great. I tried the pork, very flavorful, and the ribs were meaty and... tender. Get the 3 meat platter, big enough for 2. The desert pudding was awesome as well. Feels like eating at moms house, sofriendly. Read more

I went here for lunch last week because of the great reviews .... But .... This place is not for me ... The fried okra was good... but they went a little heavy on the salt. The Mac n Cheese was definitely not my speed ... The pulled pork sandwich was ok butit left a weird taste from the grill I'm guessing in my mouth after every bite and it definitely wasn't a smoky BBQ after taste.But the Sweet Tea was on POINT PERIOD!!! Can't beat it! Stopped in for the first time today and had the pulled pork sandwich. Truly good food! The staff was very... friendly and took time to ask all the patrons in the building how everything was. Definitely not the typical counter serviceexperience!!!
