NOTHING WAS EDIBLE! I ordered $43 of food on door dash and ordered 2 fish and 6 shrimps with cole slaw and fries. However, I... didn?t get my 6 shrimps instead they gave me an extra order of fries. The fries were not edible at all. The tartar sauce didn?thave much in there to dip anything with. And the cole slaw tasted very old. I called the store only for my shrimp and I wasgreeted by someone very rude. And I didn?t appreciate it. As I was talking she told me, ? well you gone have to come up here forall of that!? But in my head if you answer the phone then at least hear what I have to say. I had to throw away all of my foodand the only thing I ate was the two fish. Um this makes me upset. First let me begin by saying, this restaurant is in such an awkward location. I almost encountered death simply trying to find... this place. Furthermore, the food isn't even that great. The fried fish is mediocre, the jumbo butterfly shrimp is basic and themacaroni and cheese taste like the .99 cent instant mac out of the box. The entire meal was a disappointment. This my first timeever going to this restaurant and I'm almost certain this was my last time too. Captain D's is more of a, "quick stop during aroad trip," type of restaurant. Captain D?s Seafood Virginia Beach, VA 26 February 2022 My husband and I had been craving Captain D?s. We finally located... one!! Yay! Or at least we thought. After waiting in the drive thru line for approximately 40 minutes, we were asked for ourorder and immediately told to wait. After another 10 minute wait? We were asked for our order in a rude manner ? as if we werean inconvenience to the worker. My husband placed an order for two fish platters, a Children?s chicken mean with sides ofmacaroni & cheese, coleslaw and green beans. We pulled up to the pick-up window and they took our payment. Without a word. Myhusband was handed his card back and the cashier started handing us food & drinks. We did not order drinks. My husband advisedthat we did not have drinks this order may not be ours. They asked what we ordered. My husband then told them two fishplatters and a Children?s chicken meal. They then advised us that they had to make fresh fish and we needed to pull up andwait. My husband asked for malt vinegar and tarter sauce as our sauces and they responded they did not have any. We pulledforward, parked and my husband proceeded to go into the building to get malt vinegar from a bottle. He was immediately stoppedand told the inside was not open to customers. Needless to say we are extremely disappointed, the food was horrid. The macaroni& cheese was just cheese. The tarter sauce was opened. So we didn?t use it either. Drive through line was about 30 or more minutes. I received burnt fish after waiting all that time. I would not recommend this... particular Captain D?s for your eating experience. Read more
I hadn't eaten at a Captain D's in quite a few years. This reminded me why. The young lady at the window was wonderful. The food... was horrible. The crab cake was burnt. The stuffed crab was old and dry. The chicken tenders were miniscule. The battered fishwas just nasty. If you must order anything, try the catfish. Read more
