Cozy mom and pop Italian restaurant. We loved the mozzarella sticks and tried the vesuvius pizza. Really liked the crunch, fresh... garlic and loaded toppings of sausage salami ham and pepperoni. OMG!!!! Can?t believe I live nearby this GEM!!! I was craving pasta and did not feel like cooking. I decided to drop in.... Immediately upon entering I could tell that this is a family restaurant where you could have a business meeting to inspire greatconversation with colleagues. I was greeted immediately upon entering with a smile and a menu. I was drawn to the authenticbrick oven ole Italian decor. The menu had me wanting to order everything! I decided to carry out the spaghetti and a bowl ofminestrone soup. I fell in love with bar especially the wine selection. Yes they have a well stocked variety of chilled wine toadd to your meal. I sat in my car to wait. 15 mins later staff were gracious and brought my food to my car. When I say I couldnot wait to get home and tear into my meal. OMG it was so much food. The spaghetti was piping hot, flavorful, and cheesy. I wasstuffed so quickly. I ate off this plate 4 times because it was a colossal portion. The soup was lovely. You are crazy not todine here! Wow! We traveled to the Norfolk area from Philly for a long weekend and the first thing we had to find was pizza. I saw they had... mussels on the menu and I decided to try them as well. While I was in love with the pizza and mussels, it was the roll that theygave with the mussels that sealed the deal for me. A gentleman even came out to personally thank my husband for our order. Food was alright at best. Got the chicken, veal, and eggplant parm. The pasta had enough water to almost boil it again in both... the small and large portions. The marinara tasted weird and funky. The chicken was cooked well and tasted fine. Eggplant andveal was cooked well and tasted fine. Bread was bland. I got the minestrone soup and asked for a cup and got a bowl. Portionsare huge more then plenty to feed 2 people on one large order. Prices are up there as well. Staff was nice. Atmosphere isstraight from the 60's most clientele was from that time as well. Would not recommend to any friends that want his Italianfood. Would rather give to carinos for the amount I spent! Read more
I've had so many folks tell me how good the pizza is at Regino's, so I finally got here! It's a casual, personable joint dishing... up classic pizzas, hearty pasta dishes & other comfort foods. My greeting was warm and the server was vivacious, funny &knowledgeable. She explained the favorites, the portions, and how foods are made. She also described the pizza toppingsperfectly so not to ruin crust "texture" with too many toppings (stick to 4 so your pizza doesn't become soggy & limp ????)!!! Needless to say, the 16" with pepperoni, sausage, onions & mushrooms was PERFECTLY DELICIOUS! She brought some homemaderanch for a side dip. Oh, the table bread was soft & tasty served with SOFT butter!!! So Regino's pizza lived up to the hypeand our server made the visit one I'll do again soon to try some of the dinner entrees. They serve liver & onions and while ourserver honestly shared "she don't eat liver...lol!" she did say it smells awesome when serving it topped with homemade gravy &onions, so that's all I needed to hear!!! The restaurant was Really nice. The prices are reasonable. The service was GREAT! The food was Really Really good and the... portions were large. The ambiance was nice. Also, the bread they give you is warm and good enough without the butter. Read more
Very large portions. I ordered the Manicotti. They bring out bread and butter right away to snack on. It wasn't the best... Manicotti I've eaten, but it was very good. I think they either use less ricotta cheese for the filling or none at all. Thestaff was very friendly and professional. Good place to bring your family. Read more
Our waitress was amazing. She has been with them for 20 years...she told us the history of the restaurant and was absolutely the... friendliest. The food...sooo amazing. I had lasagna, the sauce is amazing. The noodles are homemade. They give you the mostamazing bread. Read more
