This is such a wonderful family restaurant! We came on a busy Saturday morning and were greeted by the owner himself! With the... longer wait time Jeff (the owner) gave us the option of waiting in the ac, out in the lounging chairs, or he?ll call you if youwait in your car. You hear the regular customers being welcomed by their names and plenty of great food to go around. The foodcame out quickly and it was delicious. Our server Teresa was attentive and lovely. This place has been a gem in Norfolk for some time! It is a cozy family owned business. The service has always been good. The... food has always been good! They can be busy at times. If you have to wait, it is worth it. The Eggs Benedict have always beentasty and well prepared! I am glad they survived 2020! Great food paired with great service equals one of the best breakfast/lunch spots in OV! I had a veggie omelette along side... fruit and toast, it was 100% cooked to perfection. My girlfriend and I had breakfast/brunch at the Sandfiddler Cafe on July 30. The owner, Jeff Cohen greeted us and explained due... to short staff in the kitchen, they had a limited menu. Our waitress was very nice and helped us with any accommodation we askedof her. While we patiently waited for our food, we were enamored by how this restaurant was decorated and how homey theatmosphere felt. We also noticed Mr. Cohen went by every table to ask how people were doing, if they liked their food and makingsmall conversations to everyone seated in the restaurant except my girlfriend and I. Even after we received our food, Mr. Cohenmade various table touches to everyone again except us. After we paid and got up to leave, Mr. Cohen finally said, ?Have a greatday? to us. The blatant show of the owner clearly ignoring our table and watching him talk to everyone but us the whole time wesat down, left us dumbfounded on what my girlfriend and I could have possibly done that even the owner didn?t care to give usthe time of day he had for everyone else in the restaurant. This also left a sour feeling in our minds that we were being leftout and watched helplessly while everyone had multiple table touches from Mr. Cohen throughout our time in the restaurant. Ourwaitress gave us great service and the food was hot and savory. My girlfriend and I would not come back again since we areclearly not welcomed by Mr. Cohen. Read more
Walked in to the wonderful smell of Breakfast. Had a 20 minute wait which was understandable. When seated the waitress was super... nice even with how busy she was. From the time the drinks were taken to the time we paid our bill and walked out. Everything wasas perfect as could be. The hospitality is above and beyond what is expected. Food was extremely delicious. I might just have totake a road trip back here for breakfast. Read more
