Great casual spot, the wife and each got a platter; (Pulled pork and Brisket) good portion sizes. Mac and Cheese (side) was... great. Brisket wasn?t as thick as I?m used to but still way better than most places. BBQ sauces at the table were a goodselection. Atmosphere was relaxed and we were very comfortable. Bar is massive and looks like a great place to watch football.Drink selection was also very diverse and looked fun. They look like they run daily deals/specials. Will come back again! Read more
Mom took us here for our birthday. I'm not a fan of the neighborhood but inside here is amazing. The food has great flavor and... the portions are very very generous. So this was our first time at the Fishin Pig and it won't be the last. This place is phenomenal. From the wait staff - Hunter... was our server to the drinks and the food. I had the catfish basket with Mac and cheese. The breading on the catfish andseasoning are perfect. The flavor is great. I tried my daughter's bang bang shrimp tacos. I will be trying that next timebecause they were so good. You can get BBQ, fish, shrimp, chicken and much more. It's close to where I worked at ODU so I cancome for lunch often. Read more
We were so excited to try this place. The ambiance here is awesome, very clean establishment with a good vibe. It wasn't too... crowded when we went, received our drinks and food timely. We had the smoked wings for an app and they were really good. Drinkswise we tried a couple of the shooters which were tasty. We both ordered the brisket and I have to say we were prettydisappointed with it.. reminded me more of a shaved deli meat and it lacked flavor. I will start with the service. The only reason this doesn't get a 5. We sat for 20 minutes without having a server take our... drink order. That being said it was corrected and from there the experience was good. This was my first time at this restaurantand the food was pretty good. The atmosphere was overall a blended Norfolk atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone in townor coming for a visit. Read more
