Had a lovely dinner with my coworker at Voila! Located so close to PETA headquarters! Grateful for their vegan option, pasta... primavera, beet salad (w/out feta), and lemon sorbet. The French Poire elderflower cocktail was amazing!! Can't wait to visitagain and praying that they'll expand their vegan options. A beet wellington or mushroom calamari perhaps? Reservationsrecommended, restaurant parking lot up front is nice, beware the quaint cobblestone street. Cute shops and coffeshop next door.A walk in the Oriental Pagoda park is perfect before or after dinner! Read more

I would recommend this place to anyone. I went here with my boyfriend for date night unsure of what to expect. I?m glad we made... a reservation, because they were booked on a Thursday night, but the experience was unmatchable. Our server, Rocko, wasincredible. Very charismatic, and we didn?t have to touch our wine bottle once to refill our glasses. The food was unlikeanything you can get any where else, and I had the best crème brûlée in the Hampton roads. My boyfriend and I spent half theevening talking about how this is the epitome of fine dining. We?ll be back for another incredible experience. Read more

Absolutely superb! Rocko was a kind and attentive server. Everything from the drinks to the appetizers to the entrees was... fabulous. We were pleasantly surprised by how decedent the chocolate tort was! The cozy French speakeasy atmosphere was perfectfor our anniversary. We will definitely be back. Read more

It?s a shame because the food is great, HOWEVER, the owner is the most distasteful woman. Constantly I am turned away over the... phone when trying to make reservations or order food for pickup, but my husband calls seconds after I?m turned away and shegraciously takes his reservation or order. Don?t think you?ll get anywhere near that restaurant as a woman without a man toorder or accompany you. I can?t even count on two hands how often this has happened to me. Neighborhood favorite they claim ontheir signs posted outside the door..well I am part of the neighborhood, living right around the corner, and I claim that?s amade up line she posted. A big N.O. From me, unless you enjoy spending hundreds of dollars to be disrespected by the ownerherself. Read more

Where do I begin? Easy to get to spot, cute neighborhood, parking right by the entrance door. Inside is charming, staff is... friendly and welcoming. Our server Nick was amazing, his coworkers were very caring, as well. Started with Aperol and escargot.Ordered scallops and salmon wrapped in phyllo dough with spinach and feta. Finished with crème brûlée. The food wasexquisite, I cannot recall the last time I enjoyed dinner out this much! Cannot wait to go back! Read more

One of the Great Restaurants of Norfolk, Voila! is not just an intimate dining experience?with only eleven tables, Voila! gets... personal! We arrived as we had hoped, a few minutes before our reservation time?this dining experience for us requires a tripthrough one of the two bridge-tunnels from the Peninsula to the magic world of Norfolk dining adventures, and if for example youchoose as we did the more direct route of I-64 to Granby Street to West Brambleton Avenue, it is best to allow for imponderablesin the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. Voila! can be seen almost as soon as you turn onto Brambleton, and delightfully in this dayand age, it sports its own parking lot right in front. We arrived and waited patiently in the car until Voila! opened at 5PM?and behold, our own assigned Server emerged from the restaurant to escort us to our table! The magical evening hadbegun! The three of us?celebrating Sheila?s birthday?began the feast with the heavenly Mussel Appetizer, which was generousenough?and rich and delicious enough?to have furnished an entire entree. The Caesar Salad which followed was so good that Irealized I hadn?t enjoyed a real one in some years?I certainly enjoyed it now! The entire menu was as classic?and classy?as itgets for entrees. If you have never enjoyed Beef Wellington before, you should certainly depend on Voilà! for yourintroduction?the pastry is genuine, not the puff pastry now being cobbled on by high-tempered TV chefs, but the real rolledpastry of yesteryear, so light and elegant?and flavorful?that you will never forget the dish as long as you live. The wildmushrooms enclosed with the wonderful Hereford tenderloin inside the pastry shell give the dish a personality that is reallygratifying. For those who wish a really rare steak, the Steak au Poivre is almost equally exciting, and certainly as delicious.Sheila, who loves seafare best, elected the Bouillabaisse, and as the portion was so generous, we were all able to enjoy it.
