This place was not my first Alexander's so I can say that this one didn't seem as up scale other locations. Specifically the... table clothes made the experience feel cheap. The food was good. I had the 10 oz sirloin with a loaded baked potato. Theappearance was deceiving because it really was delicious yet not those most esthetically pleasing. Steak was a great texturebut I thought the meat density seemed soft and I am not used to so much fat with a sirloin. The potato was decent but feel theycould take a lesson from Texas Roadhouse. The wife and I haven't been in a long time because I moved out of state. I always had a amazing experience yrs back so I decided... to go and take my mother-in-law with. We had a great dinner I cooked the steaks myself and it was just as I remembered it.Prices went up some but everywhere has. It's not only a meal it's the experience of just hanging out by the pit cooking somesteaks and having a drink. Come for the steaks and stay for the memories. Try it out I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Ialso want to say they will cook your food if you don't want to and if your friends with your kids and not there parents not agood place to go. We like to have the grill chef cook our steaks. They get the steak done correctly and I don't have to stand by the grill. Had... the 16oz ribeye steak, which we enjoyed as served without salt, pepper, or sauce. Read more

First time at this Alexander's. Been to the one in Peoria many times over the years and it's still a delight to dine at. The one... in Normal not so much. Was hard to locate the building tucked back by a mall. I was going there to attend my brother in law'sbirthday party. The building looks like a run down wooden warehouse from the outside and not much better inside in my opinion.When our meals arrived there was a lot of confusion by the employees as to who got what and a lot of shuffling of meals around.My niece didn't even get her meal until just about everyone else was finished. The meals lacked any presentation. I'll stick tothe grand Alexander's Steak House in Peoria myself. Read more
