Whoa, this place is amazing! I?m not even sure where to start. Brewery, restaurant, Event space, outdoor area, lake... front? First, the beer is great. Several choices of each style, each unique. I tried a few hazy IPAs, and my brother sampledtheir impressive sour selection. We had to try their pickle beer, which tasted as tangy as you?d expect. Their dosvidanya seriesof stouts is worth making the trip alone. The food was dynamite. All our compliments to chef Jake. It was difficult to choosefrom their menu and daily specials, but we went with the Thai fried chicken rice bowl and the Korean tacos. Both fantastic. Theevent space has a cool vibe, with the bourbon barrels they use to make their specialty stouts lining the walls. Outdoor chairsand tables face the neighboring lake, with a couple of picturesque spaces suitable for a wedding ceremony. I first wondered ifthis would be a good stop along the way to Chicago, but now it?s clear this is a destination in itself. Kudos to these guys.They do everything right. Read more
As a big fan of sours, I?ve been soo excited to go to Destihl. Huge beautiful building with tons of indoor and outdoor... seating. Massive tap list of creative flavors. Was super disappointing they don?t do flights and the smallest pour is 12 ounces. They do allow 2 tasters, but there was so much more I wanted to try. Almost all the to-go beer is in 6 packs too. What a cool space! They have great outdoor seating and dog friendly which is a big plus. This is counter service place... you... order and pick up your own food. We did not sample the beer but the food was very good. The pretzels are big and fluffy. Highly recommend the Sunday only fried Chicken dinner. Recommend this spot as it really stands out in Bloomington. It is verysimilar to Surly Brewing in St Paul, MN. Read more
I tried this restaurant based on the advice of coworkers. It's a beautiful building and landscape. From the moment I walked in... I felt like a ballerina in a biker bar. So many people were staring at me that it made me uncomfortable. The atmosphere wasthat of the pretentious artsy crowd. They talk about how lgbtq-friendly they are- be equally friendly to all of your customers,no matter their orientation. That shouldn't even be an issue, its a restaurant, not a night club. I had never been here before,so I was unaware of the process of ordering your meal on the tablet. The employees didn't seem to want to explain anything tome. The food was alright, but way over-priced. I ended up taking my food to go. The whole experience was just awkward anduncomfortable and not worth wasting the money I work hard to earn. Read more
Great place! Very welcoming and open space. Family friendly place and the staff was very cheerful. I sat near the bar, on one... of the high top tables. Their food ordering process is self serving. You order food at a kiosk and then pick up your food. Thatwas a fun and quick way to do that. Their cheese curds were awesome! Seemed home made. Yes we were far from Wisconsin, butthese chees curds were pretty awesome and can definitely compete! I believe their products are available at most stores likeJewel Osco. Read more
AMAZING! Beer was great- get samples if you want to try something before committing to a full glass. Staff was incredibly nice!... Food was delicious: Cheese Curds, Pretzel, Burger, Pizza and the Buffalo Chicken Salad. Atmosphere was beautiful inside. Will beback in the summer to hang out on the patio! Read more
This is a really neat place to eat or just hangout. They serve a brunch on the weekends. We went to a vendor market here and... stayed and ate afterwards. They had a fire going that you could sit by if you were cold. The steak tacos were amazing! Youorder and pick up your food yourself. There were lots of families with young children hanging out eating brunch. Read more
